After spending two months in solitary confinement in FCI Seagoville's Special Housing Unit, Josh Duggar has officially been released back to the general population in the federal prison where he's serving out a sentence that will span more than a decade. But that certainly doesn't mean things will be easier for him from here on out …

Josh was released from the SHU on Tuesday.
The Sun has confirmed that he's back in gen pop, though it is earlier than he was reportedly originally supposed to be released. Because of overcrowding, though, he managed to luck out.
Josh was spending time in solitary after he was caught with a contraband cellphone, and his punishment also has resulted in his eventual release date being pushed back nearly two months.
Unsurprisingly, Josh was reportedly 'thrilled' to be out of there.
The Ashley's Reality Roundup was the first to report the news, and a source told the news outlet that Josh is still facing some continuing consequences even now that he's back with the rest of the inmates.
That will include a 180-day period where he's prohibited from using the phone and the commissary, and during this time, he is also not allowed to have visitors — sorry, Anna.
Josh was living in some pretty rough conditions.
Though Katie Joy of Without a Crystal Ball reports a different date for Josh's release — she claims he was out on Thursday, not Tuesday, like other news outlets have reported — she says her source described some pretty upsetting living conditions in the SHU that Josh would have been subjected to.
"The SHU is really nasty and can really mess with an inmates schedule and well-being. It can take a few days for inmates to recover from the discomfort and noise inside the SHU," her source said.

Josh has reportedly spent his first days of freedom sleeping.
And as Katie Joy claims, Josh has made the proclamation that the SHU was "nasty" and that he is "never going back to the SHU."
We'll see about that. After all, the time between now and his October 2032 release date gives him plenty of time to mess up again.
Maybe he managed to learn his lesson.
By all accounts, it sounds like the SHU is not a fun place to be, and we're sure he's missing those visits from Anna and their seven children … which won't be able to happen for six more months.
Maybe he'll be on the straight and narrow from here on out, but something tell us that's a lot easier said than done for Josh.
