Another day, another Duggar family drama unfolds on the internet. This time the drama centers on Joy-Anna, specifically her husband, Austin Forsyth. In a new video shared on their YouTube channel, fans called out a decision Austin recently made that some are calling "dangerous," "selfish," and "foolish."
Joy-Anna shared another family vlog on YouTube.
Joy-Anna posts pretty regular updates to the family YouTube channel, Follow the Forsyths. Most often, the updates are a mashup of a few days or different activities, so there's always a lot covered.
The family recently welcomed their third baby, Gunner, a month ago, joining their older two kids, 5-year-old Gideon and 2-year-old Evelyn.
The new video focuses on Gunner's first smile.
At around 1 month old, Gunner is growing quickly, and in their family update, Joy-Anna spoke about Gunner's first smile and who he is starting to look more like.
But there was an activity in the 15-minute video that had some people voicing concern.
Austin was going skydiving.
Some people love adrenaline, but others feel more comfortable when their feet are on the ground — and Joy-Anna's husband is the adventurous one.
"It's another week," Joy-Anna says about a minute into the video. "We are having a full day today; Austin is skydiving."
Austin isn't new to skydiving, but he did need a refresher before jumping.
"Um, he got his license to skydive, like, three years ago almost, and he is going to do his first jump in a little while today," she explains in the video. "He did his refresher classes yesterday, and him and a few buddies are going to jump today so it's going to be a crazy day."
She adds, "They'll probably get four jumps."
Joy-Anna then went to an airport with her kids so they could watch Austin jump.
"We'll see how it goes," she says. "Praying that he lands safely, remembers all the maneuvers."
Joy-Anna asks her oldest, Gideon, if he will ever skydive when he's older as they waited to spot Austin as a dot up in the sky.
"There's a black dot in the sky. They're about to jump. There's another one. We should have two parachutes. We've got two," she explains as they all watch from the ground.
Duggar fans expressed concern in the video's comment section that Austin was skydiving.
"He's putting his life at risk big time," one person wrote. "I think it's selfish and foolish, especially when you have young children who need their father."
"Sky diving so dangerous, wow," another concerned fan wrote.
"I don't know what to think about a young man with 3 babies jumping out of an airplane," someone else shared. "Would make me a wreck."
"Sorry but, for everything there is a season," wrote another person, "and the season for jumping out of planes is long over, for a husband/father of three."
"If I were Joy, I'd be VERY nervous watching that," and "I sure hope there's life insurance, just in case," a few more concerned fans shared.
Thankfully, Austin seemed to be just fine during his jumps. We agree that it would be very nerve-wracking to see, especially having our kids with us as we watch from the ground.
