JWoww Posted a Swimsuit Photo and the Response Proved Exactly the Point She Made About It

Jenni “JWoww” Farley is no stranger to sharing her life with fans. Between Jersey Shore and social media, she’s pretty much an open book. So if she’s upset about the response she received on one of her posts, they must be bad — and people aren’t exactly rushing to prove her wrong now that she’s pointed out how unfair all of the body-shaming comments that she got on her last swimsuit photo really are.

JWoww shared a photo of herself in a black swimsuit.

In the photo, she was lounging by the pool, showing off her body in a black swimsuit and matching baseball cap. She didn’t ask for criticism about her body, but boy, did she ever get it in the comments. Apparently, everybody thinks JWoww is too skinny and that she wants their opinions about it.

“There’s a difference between being skinny and too skinny. That’s too skinny. You need some curves,” said one of the comments.

Another one of JWoww’s followers wrote, “I honestly think you look sickly and have made yourself look older than you are. At this time, I feel like its your unhealthiest look and not great influence for your kids. I’m not trying to be rude, just honest.”

(No, that was definitely rude, whether they were trying to be or not.)

She responded with a video about the claims that she’s “sick and dying.”

Jenni said that between the comments and the Google alert she received in her email about a news story that claimed she’s “deathly sick,” she knew she had to speak up.

“A girl can never win. You gain weight, you’re a fat piece of s—. You lose weight, you must be dying of some sort of horrendous disease,” she said. “I love when people are like, ‘Oh my God, you look so good’ when you lose weight. But then if you gain it, the 5-10 lbs., the silence is deafening because those same people that like you at your skinniest won’t say anything when you gain weight.”

She mentioned that she did lose a little weight, but it wasn’t intentional, and she knows the weight will come back eventually.

“I lost weight. I’m a female. I’m 41. I really don’t know what else to say,” she said.

Some people still did not get the message.

While some people did show JWoww support after she spoke her truth, others still couldn’t let go of the whole weight thing.

“Honey you look TOOO skinny everyone’s just concerned about ya!” one person commented, while another added, “Stop taking the skinny shot and all the fillers.”

It sounds like if JWoww wanted everyone’s advice on her body, she’d probably go ahead and ask for it. Until then, can we just stop talking about women’s appearances in general?
