Happy hour is going to look a whole lot different at Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom's house for the next few months. On Tuesday, Katy revealed that she and her actor fiancé have made a sobriety pact as they head into summer, hinting that they are on a short-term journey to improve their health and well-being.

Katy shared the news at a curated cocktail event featuring her line of nonalcoholic spirits.
The American Idol judge was spotted at the New York City soirée alongside costars Lionel Richie and Luke Bryan and host Ryan Seacrest, according to People. "I've been sober for five weeks today. I've been doing a pact with my partner and I want to quit," Katy revealed, pretending to sob dramatically.
Her fellow judges didn't seem to believe her.
Luke teased his on-screen partner, asking Katy if there was a chance she was thinking about caving while attending the boozy event that evening.
"No, girl! I can't cave," she joked. "I made a promise. Three months."
The 38-year-old "Firework" singer didn't have to worry about going thirsty at the party, though, because there was plenty of De Soi — her nonalcoholic aperitif line — available to drink.
The sobriety pact announcement should squash any rumors that Katy may be expecting.
Whenever a woman reveals that she's not drinking alcohol, many people automatically assume it's because she's pregnant.
Katy has been pretty open about her thoughts on expanding her family — she and Orlando already share a 2-year-old daughter named Daisy — saying that although more kids may be in the future, neither of their careers really allows for it right now.
Katy's sobriety comes on the heels of a controversial comment.
She stands accused of mom-shaming an Idol contestant after the 25-year-old revealed she had three children, prompting Katy to make an off-color comment about how she'd been "laying on the table too much."
The contestant later took to TikTok to call out Katy over the sexist remark.

We wish Katy and Orlando lots of luck.
There are plenty of short- and long-term benefits to cutting out alcohol. In addition to some of the smaller health perks, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention notes that almost 40% of all deaths related to alcohol use are attributed to binge drinking — so Katy and Orlando may be setting themselves (and Daisy) up for a healthier and safer lifestyle by making the change.
We hope their time away from alcohol does wonders for them.
