Kim Kardashian Admits Kanye West Might Have Been Right About North’s TikTok Videos

Of all the people who criticize Kim Kardashian's parenting, ex-husband Kanye West has been at the top of the list. But there's one thing that she concedes he might have been right about … at least, partially. Apparently, Kim's had her doubts about North's TikTok account, not long after Kanye had those same doubts himself.

Kanye has called Kim out for letting North use TikTok.

Back in 2022, Kanye accused Kim of using their children to "antagonize" him amid their divorce, telling Jason Lee of "Hollywood Unlocked" that he wasn't a fan of North wearing makeup or using TikTok.

"There's two things I said, tell her — security not gonna be in between me and my kids, and also tell her, don't have my daughter wearing lipstick on TikTok," he said at the time.

Now, Kim is admitting Kanye might have been (partly) right.

North has made it very clear that she's a big fan of Ice Spice and even collaborated with her on the app, but when Kim first heard of Ice Spice, she was worried that her lyrics were too inappropriate for her 10-year-old daughter.

"As soon as I saw the words, I was like, "Oh no, we're taking this down,'" Kim said in an interview with Time. "I saw on the internet, [people saying] 'Kanye was right,' and maybe he was in that instance."

That doesn't mean that she's pulling North off the app, though.

In fact, it seems she's decided to protect her ability to use TikTok, even if it means paying close attention to the type of media she consumes while on it.

"She loves making slime videos and doing her little hair tutorials, and I will fight for her to be creative," she said in the interview.

Kim has always fought back against Kanye's claims.

Since they decided to end their marriage, there's been a lot of public battling — and Kim has made it clear that TikTok is something she won't take away from her daughter, as she addressed in this statement she shared on her Instagram Stories in 2022.

"Kanye's constant attacks on me in interviews and on social media is actually more hurtful than any TikTok North might create," Kim wrote at the time. "As the parent who is the main provider and caregiver for our children, I am doing my best to protect our daughter while also allowing her to express her creativity in the medium that she wishes with adult supervision — because it brings her so much happiness."

It looks like North's TikTok is here to stay.

And those who follow her are probably pretty glad to hear that, because she makes some pretty entertaining content — especially when she gets her mom in on it. Good for Kim for protecting her daughter's freedom of expression … and being willing to reevaluate what is and isn't working for her.
