Teen Mom star Leah Messer is making sure that she stays safe after an incident with her ex-husband, Jeremy Calvert. According to multiple reports, Jeremy and his girlfriend harassed Leah at her job in late November 2023, prompting her to file a domestic violence protective order to keep him away from her. Leah and Jeremy, who were married from 2012 to 2015, share daughter Addie.

The incident between Leah Messer and Jeremy Calvert first reported by a 'Teen Mom' fan account.
A Teen Mom fan account on Instagram was the first to report about the incident in early December, explaining that Jeremy had shown up at the restaurant where Leah is working as a waitress.
According to their insiders, when asked why Jeremy showed up at her job, they said, "Jeremy is a very jealous, manipulative person. He says he has his reasons for what he did, but none are sufficient enough to be a good excuse."
No one was hurt, but Leah was apparently shaken by the encounter.
"He stormed in and was intimidating Leah," a source told The Ashleys Reality Roundup.
"He had a group of guys with him, as well as his girlfriend, backing him up," the source said, adding, "The big group made a huge commotion inside the restaurant."
The source added that no one in the group was physically assaulted, but Jeremy and the group did reportedly "threaten" Leah enough that she called the police.
Jeremy's new partner also allegedly threatened Leah.
The U.S. Sun obtained a copy of the police report, where the police officer who was called to handle the incident referred to Jeremy’s girlfriend as his "new wife." The officer also said that Leah didn’t know the girlfriend’s name, but that her 10-year-old daughter Addie calls her Brooke.
Brooke allegedly threatened to "clock" Leah during the incident, which was described by the officer as simple assault.

Leah said she was fearful after the encounter.
"Ms. Messer was visibly upset regarding the incident, and stated she was in fear of how aggressive the suspect was being," the police report said. Both Jeremy and Brooke left the scene before the police showed up.
No criminal charges were filed "due to lack of suspect information."
This is why Leah was able to file a domestic violence protective order.
Though Jeremy and Leah are no longer in a relationship, The Ashley's Reality Roundup explained that Leah was able to file for a domestic violence protective order because he is her former spouse and made her fear that she would be harmed physically, or by "harassment, stalking, psychological abuse or threatening acts."
