Joy-Anna Duggar is no stranger to receiving criticism about her behavior online, but this time, it's sparking real concern from people who are worried about her well-being. Fans are calling Joy out for her unsafe behavior in the car, especially while she's pregnant.
It all started with Joy's new vlog.
The YouTube video on her channel, Follow the Forsyths, covered a lot of ground between addressing the death of Austin's grandmother and her kids' bedtime routines.
But there was a certain activity that left viewers with a few concerns.
She wasn't wearing her seat belt while riding in the car.
In one part of the video, Joy and Austin are headed off to the dentist for a checkup for her and Gideon. On the way home, Joy talks about how the appointments went and celebrates the lack of cavities, but people couldn't help but notice that she wasn't buckled in, even though the car was in motion.
People weren't impressed that she wasn't buckled up.
Though most of the comments on the YouTube video itself were filled with condolences for the loss of Austin's grandmother, as The Sun reported, comments on Reddit were all focused on Joy's car safety (or lack thereof).
"She’s not wearing a seatbelt? I’m sure it wasn’t drilled into them as kids because Duggar and who’s checking every single seatbelt … but come on!" one person wrote.
Another added, "AND AUSTIN IS DRIVING BECAUSE THE ROADS ARE ICY. But sure. Skip the seatbelt."
This isn't the first time Joy's safety habits have been questioned.
Last fall, fans were worried about her family's car safety when she showed Gideon riding in a car seat that appeared to be too small for him.
Before that, she was criticized for filming a video while driving with her children in the back seat as she headed to a car wash.
And now, her critics are adding another incident to the list.
Maybe this will be a wake-up call for Joy.
It's so important to wear a seat belt while in the car because that belt could save your life if the worst happens while driving — not to mention the fact that Joy needs to be practicing safety for two these days.
Her kids also need to see their parents buckling up so they will do the same when they're big enough to ride without a car seat. We don't want anything bad to happen to Joy or her kids.
