With King Charles' coronation just a little over a month away, it sounds as if things are getting a bit tense in the royal family. Reportedly, Kate Middleton and Prince William are angry with the palace right now over what Prince George's role in the celebration will be. Like any parents would be, they're concerned about how their child will feel in the middle of this huge circus.

The palace is trying to decide if George should 'play a more formal role.'
From what we already know about the coronation, it's likely that George will be a big part of it all — after all, he is a future king.
But according to what one royal expert is saying, that might not necessarily be something that his parents, the Prince and Princess of Wales, see as a good thing.
They want to keep George from going through what William and Harry did at a young age.
As commentator Tom Quinn recently told Express (via She Finds), Will and Kate want to protect George from growing up too fast.
Apparently, they fear that George's role in the coronation will be similar to "the way William and Harry were sometimes made to attend formal occasions that they shouldn't have been made to attend — most famously, the funeral of their mother, and walking behind her coffin at their age."
There's reportedly a continuing debate about how the coronation will include him.
People — even those who aren't Will and Kate — are worried that George being too big a part of the festivities will be too "traditional" for a monarchy that's trying to modernize itself.
"I've heard that there is a debate going on quite fiercely at the moment about how to do that. And, as far as I've heard, it hasn't been decided yet," Quinn said.

We expect George will be featured in some capacity.
It wouldn't be surprising to see him being given some kind of responsibility on such a big day for his family, especially when it comes to the monarchy that he will someday lead.
We don't doubt that Princess Charlotte will be involved too, though Prince Louis might be too young (and too rambunctious) at this point.
We'll find out soon enough how the royal kids will be involved.
After all, with the coronation scheduled for May 6 at Westminster Abbey, we imagine they have to nail down those final plans very soon. It's right around the corner!
In the meantime, we can't blame Kate and Will if they're being a bit overcautious. This is their son we're talking about.
