Carrie Underwood’s On Stage Wardrobe Malfunction Must’ve Hurt (VIDEO)

Whether she's donning a dress that doubles as a projector screen (like at the Grammys earlier this year) or hitting the stage looking perfectly coiffed in a cute outfit, Carrie Underwood is known for rocking some seriously show-stopping costumes on stage. She's also unafraid to wear some seriously high heels — boots or otherwise. But she may think twice after what happened to her at a concert this week!

Carrie was on stage in Corpus Christi, Texas yesterday when she stepped on the long hem of an oversized shirt and ended up falling on stage! Not getting up right away, you could tell she may have fallen in a perilous position. As it turned out, she finished the song (yay!), but she did end up in a brace later! Eek!

Ouch, huh?! Damn high heels! Thankfully, Carrie can laugh about what happened. She tweeted later, "Hey, remember that time in Corpus Christi when that girl busted her butt on stage? Oh wait, that was me! #5inchheels #klutz." She also tweeted a picture of her foot in a soft cast, writing, “Good news, it’s not broken…AND I got some new footwear!” Aww!

Wow, have I been there! I took a tumble at my friend's wedding a couple of years ago due to almost 5-inchers, and my ankle has never been the same. Plus, they say once you sprain/roll it, you're more prone to reinjury. Ugh, no fun. And definitely the nail in the coffin of my 4"+ high heel-wearing days. Oh well — I may be 4'11", but really don't believe they're worth hurting myself for.

Carrie, on the other hand, is a performer who I don't see getting away so easily with wearing FitFlops and Nikes all the time! Ha! Once her foot heals up, I'd guess she'll continue to rock sky-high spikes down the red carpet, on the concert stage, and everywhere inbetween. With that being the case, guess we can only hope her costumer makes a point to hem any way too long gowns or caftans!

What's your take on super-high heels? Have you ever injured yourself from wearing them?
