Leaving the House With Wet Hair: Do or Don’t?

Here's a popular beauty question that went down on CafeMom yesterday:

What do you think of women who leave the house with wet hair?

I have wavy hair, so I often let my hair air dry for that tousled look—it's a hundred times easier and faster than blow drying and straightening it. Sometimes I wonder if people think my wet hair is sloppy, but then I remember that I could care less what they think. I think that's what the anonymous poster was getting at when she asked the above question: Do you judge women who leave the house with wet hair?

Here are some of my favorite responses from CafeMoms:

  • Maxsmom11807: I leave with wet hair everyday AND no makeup, and I know that I am far from lazy. I just choose to spend more quality time with my son in the morning instead of making myself "pretty" for my job where I work with greasy men…LOL.
  • UncondtnLove: LOL. I used to go out with my hair wet in Alaska in the middle of the winter. I think the better question would be, "What would you think of me?". I never once got sick from it, though.
  • Anonymous: I don't even own a blow dryer. My hair is past my waist, and I have six kids. I wouldn't even know where to find the time to blow dry my hair. If people don't like it, they don't have to look.

Do you take the time to wonder if a woman's hair is wet or dry?
