Odds are that if you're a beauty lover, you probably think you know all there is to know about Kat Von D.
What you might not know is that underneath Kat's goth exterior beats a surprisingly gooey, romantic heart. Case in point: She and her new boyfriend are ALL about the PDA on Instagram right now, and it's giving us a terminal case of Special Feelings.
It all started when Kat shared this picture, along with the caption "...when @llewellyn draws your eye from memory."
That would be Kevin Llewellen, fine artist and long time friend of Von D. This image was reposted to Kat's account from Llewellyn's, where he captioned it "I drew @thekatvond last night at dinner from memory…"
Sweet, right? What followed in the comments was the Instagram version of PDA, and we are all living for it.
Kat responded to a fan who commented "He loves you" with a series of black hearts.
Llewellyn then left his own comment. "I could draw you all day and never tire of your beauty, Kat..."
Kat replied with more black hearts, then said to him "because my drawing skills pale in comparison, I'll write a million songs for you in return."
Five black hearts indicate that Llewellyn is excited about this, and honestly, same.
BUT THAT WASN'T THE END OF THE LOVEFEST. After calling Kat "the eyeball drawing master," Llewellyn said "If you even wrote one song it would me the same as a million." To which Kat responded "Whatchu mean "if??! It's already been done."
These two immortalizing each other in music and art, and I can't even get a text back.
But! 2017's ultimate goth couple weren't done yet. Llewellen posted this moody photo of Kat with the ~emotional~ caption "I knew the very second we met that there was something about you I desired. Turns out it wasn’t something about you at all. It was just you."
(His comments are literally FILLED with fans swooning over this romance, btw.)
And although this involves some speculation, it appears that this isn't the first time that Kat and Llewellyn have been totally sprung for one another. Though her Instagram has been scrubbed of any trace of previous relationships, HIS indicates that the two were in goth-love back in March.
The caption reads "If you've ever loved a girl as much as I love Kat, you know what it's like to feel true love. It's no coincidence we're alive in this world at the same time. Happy Birthday to the one I adore…"

AND! Based on this clip I found from 2011, the two have been friends for a reeeeeeeally long time.
In this clip, taken when Llewellyn was displaying his art at Kat's Wonderland gallery, the two had already been friends for around six years. Meaning they may have been building towards this relationship since around 2005. Hot damn.
I think I speak for everyone when I say, as Kat has, "black heart stabby knife." This online PDA is just giving me a groundswell of special feelings.
