9 photos that prove Kim Kardashian’s deep dark contour kit isn’t dark at all

Kim Kardashian still has some 'splaining to do about these contour kits meant for "dark" skin tones.

Her dark and deep dark kit options have been called out for not truly catering to women with dark skin. Here's more proof that the collection underserves darker women.

Kim recently admitted that she uses her creme contour sticks in shade dark. If she, a fair-skinned women, is using these products in the second-darkest shade the brand makes, then what exactly can they meant to do for darker women?

Short answer: Not much. Let's check out a few photos that prove who these "dark" contour kits are and are not working for.

This woman is wearing shade dark? K.

No shade, but...

Shade!

"Dark" is working for women who aren't dark at all.

All of the women above have fair to medium brown skin and are using the dark contour kit. If they can use it to achieve the normal contour look then, um, what are darker-skinned women supposed to use from KKW Beauty?

And don't forget about how offensive a selection the KKW Beauty dark contour kit model was.

The woman modeling the deep dark kit was an equally poor choice.

Meanwhile, Kim's deep dark contour stick disappeared as Nyma Tang blended it.

The contour dis-a-FREAKING-peared. This is supposed to be a contour kit not a magic kit.

It's worth noting that not all darker women hate Kim K's products.

"It’s not bad but it’s not the best contouring product that I've used ever," Youtube blogger, Cydnee Black shared after trying out the deep dark contour kit. "I really don’t think that it’s a bad product, and it’s her first product. Every single time a company launches something new, it’s always not that great. It’s like getting the first round of iPhones. They’re always fucked up in some capacity. It’s really not that bad. It could be better but it will get better.”

Full disclosure though, she *did* have to pair Kim's kit with the Urban Decay Naked Contour Palette in Dark ($35, Urban Decay).

Not to mention all of Kim K's contour products have cool tones — so dark girls with warm undertones are still SOL.

Kim? You have to turn this thing around. If light-complected women are using your dark and deep dark contour kits, you are failing your customers.

The Kween of Kontour needs to step up her game so that ALL women can enjoy her beauty line as seemingly intended.

Spread the contour joy, Kim.
