TRIGGER WARNING: This post contains information about suicide, which may be triggering to some.
In June 2023, people online were introduced to Allan Kassenoff and his wife, Catherine Kassenoff, as videos of the couple went wildly viral on social media. Sadly, Catherine Kassenoff, who had terminal cancer, died by suicide after allegedly enduring years of emotional abuse at the hands of her attorney husband, Allan Kassenoff.
TikToker Robbie Harvey, known as @therobbieharvey on the social media platform, catapulted the couple into the spotlight when he posted videos reportedly taken by Catherine Kassenoff that show an angry husband spewing hateful commentary at his dying wife in front of their children. He appeared to be a monster, and the court of public opinion quickly found him guilty. Allan Kassenoff ultimately resigned from his job as an attorney and remained quiet until he decided to file a $150,000,0000 lawsuit against Harvey, who he claims ruined his life.

Harvey uses his large platform to expose people who behave badly.
Many, but not all, of his posts are dedicated to men mistreating women, and when he caught wind of the Kassenoff saga, he did his best to be sure that as many people saw Allan Kassenoff's repugnant behavior as possible.
The video shows Allan Kassenoff appearing to berate his wife, telling her that he hates her and he hopes she dies, all while screaming like a child in front of the couple's three young daughters.
Their mother is dying, yet this man seemingly shows no sympathy to any of the females in his home as he runs away, leaving them all behind.
Catherine Kassenoff uploaded documentation that reportedly exposed her husband.
Prior to her death by suicide, the mother of three uploaded a lengthy CSV document that was downloaded thousands of times before someone changed the settings to private. She also posted videos of her and Allan Kassenoff arguing that show the father screaming at his children.
Catherine Kassenoff was also a lawyer who reportedly documented everything to use as proof against her husband as the pair battled for custody of their children.
Allan Kassenoff's 15 minutes of fame may have cost him his career.
Not long after Allan Kassenoff became a household name, he reportedly resigned from his position as a patent attorney at Greenberg Traurig. In a since-deleted Facebook post, the firm announced its intention to help protect the innocent Kassenoff children.
"The firm is sensitive to the needs of the three children, the primary victims of the situation, and therefore will be creating a dedicated trust fund with an independent trustee for the sole benefit of these children, to be voluntarily funded by the lawyers and staff of our firm," the post read. "We wish healing and privacy to the children during this very difficult situation."
Now, the former attorney wants Harvey to pay.
Allan Kassenoff filed a $150,000,000 defamation lawsuit against Harvey. The TikToker explained that the father of three "is suing me for defamation despite the evidence that is out there. Remember, there's over 3,000 files that have been shared publicly by Catherine Kassenoff before she ended her own life."
Harvey added that Allan Kassenoff allegedly claimed that he ruined his life, but Harvey had no intention of letting the man bully him. He added that because of the Kassenoff case, many people have become engaged in trying to create family court reform.
The TikToker established a GoFundMe account that has raised more than $33,000 of its $250,000 goal to help fight the suit.

Commenters support Harvey's fight.
The lawsuit seemed frivolous to many of Harvey's supporters.
"150M… just confirms the person he is," one person wrote.
Many commenters agreed.
"He is absolutely ridiculous! If you don't want your reputation destroyed, don't do things that would do that. Hope you win this!" someone else wrote.
"man I didn't even need to know why after you said that name. already decided I was on your side ," another person commented.
"I think he defamed himself by his behaviour and the. Katherine by releasing it," someone else pointed out.
Harvey knows it's a battle but plans to fight.
“This is a journey. It’s expensive – it is what it is, but, we’re going to win,” he said in a clip.
In February 2024, a US district judge in Florida rejected Allan Kassenoff's 110-page lawsuit for being "far longer than it needs [to] be" and containing "numerous allegations that appear to have little to nothing to do with the legal claims asserted," according to the ABA Journal, the magazine for the American Bar Association. Additionally, the judge ruled the allegations "are replete with unnecessary commentary."
However, Allan Kassenoff can still file an amended lawsuit.
