Police in the Czech Republic are investigating the death of a newborn baby whose mother stands accused of horrific allegations. The unidentified 35-year-old woman reportedly gave birth to a baby in secret at her boyfriend’s parents’ home in Kynšperk nad Ohří.
After delivering the baby, the mother allegedly placed it in a plastic bag before dumping her infant in the backyard. While outside, animals reportedly dismembered and ate the baby. The mother’s secret came to light when the family dog brought the remains into the home.
The woman reportedly gave birth in May.
According to the local news outlet Krimi Plzeň, the baby’s mother prepared a plastic bag to place the newborn in before giving birth. After delivery, she reportedly buried the bag in the garden and then covered the remains with boards. Police reported the family dog brought the infant’s hand into the home, where the infant’s grandmother made the gruesome discovery. Police responded to the scene a short time later and began an investigation.
“Several dozen police officers have been involved in the search for anything that will help clarify this case. We have dog handlers with service dogs, officers from the local municipal police, and colleagues from the fire department at our disposal,” a police spokesperson shared with Krimi Plzeň.
A forensic investigation shed light on the infant’s death.
Investigators first believed the mother might have dismembered the infant before putting its remains inside the bag. A forensic investigation determined wild animals and possibly the family dog likely dismembered the infant’s remains while eating it, Krimi Plzeň reported. The news outlet spoke with locals who claimed the baby’s mother allegedly struggled with drugs.
She apparently had a noticeable pregnant belly that seemed to disappear, but no one ever saw her baby. Police arrested the woman, confirming no further threat to the public. She now faces murder charges.
The woman’s alleged crimes enraged many people.
The Facebook page posted a photo of the suspect with her eyes hidden. Readers want to know who she is and how she could commit such a heinous crime.
“Why is his face covered? The punishment is ridiculous, but it would be good to throw it to the public, so they can play with it before they close the b—–d,” someone wrote. “I hope he gets what he deserves!!!!!!”
This person agreed.
“I would perhaps be interested in the reason and the statement of the monster that led her to it, it is humus, otherwise the punishment is weak for murder, I am not surprised that people kill themselves slowly on the encounter, I would give immediate life sentence for intentional murder,” they wrote.
“The person suspected of committing this violent crime was today charged with committing the particularly serious crime of murder. At the same time, a motion was filed with the public prosecutor to take the accused into custody,” a spokesperson shared. “If proven guilty, the accused faces a prison sentence of fifteen to twenty years or an exceptional sentence.”
