A Texas man reportedly made alarming social media posts that prompted a welfare check by police at his home that ended in tragedy. Police found Youree Kang, 34, and his wife Hannah Kang, 25, dead inside their Austin home on September 24. It appears Youree Kang killed his wife and then himself in a murder-suicide.
According to Youree Kang’s Facebook post from the day before police discovered the couple dead, “Death is inevitable, however, we can try to sustain a longer life if we all help each other.”

Hannah Kang’s aunt reportedly called police for help.
Hannah Kang’s aunt contacted Austin police just after noon on September 24, concerned that she could not get in touch with the couple, People reported. According to a news release from the City of Austin, the aunt called the police a second time an hour later and said she was at the couple’s home but could not get anyone to answer the door, even though she could see their vehicle.
Police arrived a short time later.
The city’s release noted that officers arrived at the home at 5705 Diehl Trail around 2:30 p.m. and found the couple deceased. Police stated there was no threat to the public and it appeared Youree Kang had killed his wife and then himself. A source confirmed to People that the couple died from apparent stab wounds.
Youree Kang’s Facebook page had a concerning post prior to his death.
“I’m terrified of what’s going to happen to me because everyone is instilling fear in me. Everyone keeps ‘blessing’ me in their ways. Which is weird because I don’t know why y’all are treating me this way. Every time I ask, it’s like everyone knows something, but won’t share it with me,” the man wrote. “From what I’ve observed so far is that a lot of my white friends who are Christian are in the know. Same with some black friends and asians. But the common denominator here seems to be RELIGION. Maybe?”
He claimed his wife had acted strangely.
“My wife has also been acting very strange lately. She’s not the same person as I met her. For 10 years, she stuck by my craziness and now she’s quick to a divorce. I was hoping for us to continue to grow with each other,” the post continued. “I’ve already gone through many things in life and don’t want to keep losing people or lose myself. Whether it be physically or spiritually. Death is inevitable, however, we can try to sustain a longer life if we all help each other. Please help me help you and vice versa.”

Youree Kang pleaded for help.
The husband wrote that his life was enriched because of his friends and asked that they come and help in his time of need.
“I didn’t get to be where I am today… Without ANY of you guys in my life. Am I right? Please help to save my life!!!” he wrote. “I ask for forgiveness and a second chance. Also, you praying away your sins after you’ve done something bad intentionally will not take away your true pain and suffering!”
He concluded his post with this: “I’m no stranger when it comes to this. That’s why the only way to heal is to listen to others who are hurting just as much you. We all deserve peace and happiness in life. There’s room for everyone to succeed. Please…”
