A girl was riding her bike through a park in New York when a man allegedly tried to abduct her. A 37-year-old dad and his 11-year-old daughter decided to go to Forest Park in New York City on Monday, May 19, 2025, the New York Post reported. The horrific incident happened just before 5 p.m.
At one point during their park outing, the 11-year-old girl rode her bike ahead of her dad, who was walking behind her. She ended up on a more secluded path, where a man was allegedly hiding in the bushes, according to New York Post and New York Daily News.

When the girl got to the area where the man was hiding, he reportedly jumped out, used his hands to cover her mouth and nose, and threatened her. He allegedly started taking her away from the area and said, “If you scream, I’ll kill you. I just need help with something.”
Before the dad caught up with them, the man allegedly assaulted the girl during the abduction attempt. Per New York Daily News, he reportedly took the girl even farther away from the main path, “fondled her,” and punched her when she tried to escape.
Eventually, the dad found his daughter’s bike. He then saw what was happening and started to scream, which prompted the man to let go of the girl and leave the scene.
Later, police arrived at the scene and found the suspect. The New York Post and New York Daily News identified the suspect as Teddy Moussignac.
Moussignac faces multiple charges, including “kidnapping, sex abuse of a victim under 13, criminal obstruction of breathing, forcible touching of intimate parts, endangering the welfare of a child, and assault and harassment,” per New York Post. The girl was treated at a local hospital.
