Nearly 2 Months After Finding Missing Teen’s Severed Leg, a 51-Year-Old Man Has Been Arrested

T’Neya “TT” Tovar left her home in Hemet, California, on December 1, 2025. The 17-year-old told her mom she was headed to Palm Springs but intended to be home in two weeks. Her mother, Charro Tovar, never saw T’Neya again. Tovar reported her daughter missing and prayed she’d come back home. Sadly, investigators found a human leg in a field in the Vista Del Mar section of Salton City on December 21, and the Imperial County Coroner confirmed the remains belonged to the teen. Weeks later, police have announced the arrest of Abraham Feinbloom in connection with T’Neya’s death.

T’Neya’s case caught the attention of the Federal Bureau of Investigation. The agency released a poster with several pictures of the teen, asking anyone with information about her whereabouts after December 1, to contact them. After confirming the leg found in late December belonged to T’Neya, the FBI wanted not only to find the rest of her remains but also the person responsible for her death.

On February 13, 2026, around 7:30 a.m., deputies from the Imperial County Sheriff’s Office and FBI agents arrived at Feinbloom’s home on Harlequin Court in Salton City, nearly two hours from T’Neya’s home. The suspect reportedly jumped a fence and tried to evade arrest, per a news release from the sheriff’s office. Police apprehended the 51-year-old and took him into custody without bail. He faces charges of resisting a peace officer and murder.

According to the New York Post, neighbors claim Feinbloom began acting strangely after investigators found T’Neya’s leg. He reportedly installed cameras around his pink boarded-up home.

“They haven’t told me anything,” Tovar told the Post. “They haven’t even told me that they arrested him in connection to my daughter’s murder.” She added: “I found it through news reports… and through social media… Not an email, not a phone call.”

According to a Facebook post by KESQ’s Garrett Hottle, during a February 18 hearing, it was learned that investigators determined Feinbloom and T’Neya began contacting each other in October 2025. Investigators learned that she died from a gunshot wound. The severed leg found in late December, also had bullet fragments inside.

In an update, the post notes that Feinbloom pleaded not guilty and will have a preliminary hearing February 23.

Loved ones created a fundraiser to help Tovar with her daughter’s final expenses. Family loved T’Neya deeply.

“T’Neya was only 17 — a vibrant force that was full of life filled with dreams, potential, and love. While her time here was far too short, her memory deserves to be celebrated with care and intention,” a message on the fundraiser page reads.

If Feinbloom really did kill T’Neya, we hope he will give authorities the location of the rest of her remains are so her family can have closure.
