A husband is grieving the loss of his wife and mother to their newborn baby after a tragic accident. Mary Beth Blasetti, 32, was the passenger in a golf cart on November 9 when the vehicle reportedly hit a dip in the roadway. Sadly, the jolt threw Blasetti from the vehicle, and she died from injuries received in the crash. Now, her family and friends want to honor her memory and help care for her husband and daughter.
Olivia McKenna created a GoFundMe account to help support Nick and baby Mary Katharine Blasetti, who is only 2 months old. McKenna wrote, “Her absence will be deeply felt by all who knew her.”

The crash happened near a private golf course.
Balsetti and another unidentified 32-year-old woman were traveling in a golf cart near a members-only golf course in Maryland, according to WJZ.
“It appears at a certain point they hit some sort of a dip, and at that point, that passenger was ejected from that golf cart or thrown from the golf cart,” Anne Arundel County Police Department Director of External Affairs Justin Mulcahy told the news outlet.
Crews airlifted Blasetti to a shock trauma center where she succumbed to her injuries two days later.
The crash remains under investigation.
Mulcahy told WJZ that authorities are working to figure out the cause of the crash. “This is an extremely tragic, unfortunate situation,” she explained. “Our hearts go out to everyone impacted and we’re going to continue investigating it with the State’s Attorney’s Office just to determine what exactly happened here.”
Loved ones want to help Blasetti's widower and daughter.
McKenna explained on the GoFundMe page that the couple recently bought their first home in Annapolis and welcomed their daughter, Mary Katharine.
“Mary Beth brought joy to so many and had a wide community of friends and family who are devastated by her sudden passing. She was a devoted wife, mother, daughter, sister and friend, and her absence will be deeply felt by all who knew her,” McKenna wrote on the page.
