14 Sets of Twins Are Graduating Together – & Their School Principal Just Noticed

You’d think it would be pretty obvious if you went to school with 14 sets of twins. But apparently, it isn’t. On June 4, 2025, more than 600 graduating seniors will receive their high school diplomas from Clovis North High School in Fresno, California. Twenty-eight of those students are fraternal or identical twins – and some students and school administrators didn’t even realize that fact until recently.

Principal Joshua Shapiro told Good Morning America that he and other administrators didn’t notice this year’s senior class had an unusual number of twins until they were putting the graduation grid together.

“We started realizing, ‘Wait, there’s more than just eight or nine … there’s actually 14,'” he told GMA. “That was really an eye-opening result when we saw those numbers, because we never thought we had 14 sets of twins on this campus, just from the senior class alone.”

Some students told ABC 7 that they were also unaware. “At the start, I couldn’t even really name more than three, so it was kind of weird to find out there were 14 sets,” a senior named Colton told the news outlet.

While a lot of the twins are very close, some of them don’t look much alike because they’re fraternal twins – which might explain the confusion. Many of them really enjoyed going to school together.

“I feel like it’s better than just going by yourself,” a senior named Claire told GMA. “I always had her, so that was really nice to always have someone there for me.”

Some of the twins will continue to have a built-in friend by their side when they head off to college. “I have the person I trust most on this planet right with me, and since we’re both going to be studying political science, we’ll also be able to help each other study as well,” a senior named William told ABC 7.

Others, however, are trying something new and will be going to different schools for the first time in their lives. Although it will definitely be an adjustment, they’re excited to see what it will be like.

“This is the first time we’ll really be apart for longer than we ever have been, so it’ll definitely be like a new start – but I don’t know – I’m kind of excited to see how it’ll all play out,” one of the twins, Emerson, told ABC 7.

Even though some of them are going their separate ways for the first time, they look forward to celebrating this significant milestone with their joint graduation parties.
