Trafficked Girl Endured Years of Sex Abuse Trapped in Basement & Drank From a Puddle To Survive

A Wisconsin man allegedly sexually abused and mutilated at least two young girls inside his home for years. Police in Milwaukee arrested David Boyd, 64, on multiple felony counts related to the sexual and physical abuse of girls as young as 5. One brave victim reported the abuse to her foster parent, who contacted police. Now her alleged abuser sits in jail on a slew of charges.

According to court documents obtained by People, a months-long investigation began in January. One of Boyd’s alleged victims shared her story with a foster parent who contacted police. The victim’s sister also spoke to investigators about Boyd. They shared chilling stories of torture and assault.

One girl alleged the abuse began in 2020, when she was 8 or 9 years old and lasted until 2024, per People. Her sister claimed Boyd began sexually assaulting her at age five in 2015. The abuse reportedly continued until she turned 12 and moved away.

The first victim said Boyd was the boyfriend of her grand-godmother. The victim alleged Boyd took her to his home and chained her to a pole in the basement. Boyd allegedly trafficked the girl to several men, according to People. She reportedly told police he made her choose the order in which they would sexually assault her. Additionally, Boyd allegedly used a box cutter to mutilate her body, including her genitals.

The child claimed Boyd only gave her a single piece of bread to eat, and she had to drink from a puddle on the ground to stay alive. She backed her statements by sketching an image of her abuser’s basement for police.

According to court documents, police searched Boyd’s home and made disturbing discoveries. Investigators reportedly found knives and hooked chains hanging in the basement. They arrested Boyd on April 21 and booked him on two counts of repeated sexual assault of the same child, trafficking a child, false imprisonment, child abuse to intentionally cause harm, and use of a dangerous weapon.  A judge ordered a $100,000 cash-only bond.
