Man Allegedly Crashes Wedding & Steals $100K in Gifts From the Newlyweds

As they celebrated with nearly 300 guests on their wedding day, George and Nadeen Farahat didn’t notice an uninvited attendee walking around, ordering a drink, and watching guests on the dance floor. After at least 90 minutes at the reception, the wedding crasher allegedly stole between $80,000 and $100,000 in gifts.

Security cameras captured footage of the whole incident, which occurred on August 30, 2025, at Renaissance Banquet Hall in Glendale, California.

The newlyweds and wedding guests were having a great time.

Before they became aware of the wedding crasher, George and Nadeen were enjoying a “wonderful party” with their loved ones after tying the knot, George told KTLA. The wedding crasher allegedly arrived at the event about 11 p.m. and spent some time at the reception before stealing from the bride and groom. George told ABC 7 that the wedding crasher seemingly even tipped the bartender after ordering a drink.

But around 12:30 a.m., the uninvited guest snatched a box “containing all the envelopes, the cards, the money from family and friends that were invited,” the groom said. He then rushed out of the building, and seemingly left in a vehicle that had been waiting.

The party ended after that.

One of the bride’s friends noticed the wedding crasher take something and run, and immediately alerted the couple. “As soon as we found out what happened, you know, the music shut down, everything immediately stopped,” Nadeen told ABC 7. “I ended up sitting on the dance floor sobbing with my friends and cousins around me.”

Of course, Nadeen and George were simply enjoying themselves on their wedding day and never would’ve imagined something like this happening. “It’s such a memorable and happy day and you’re having so much fun,” Nadeen told KTLA. “You don’t think about this stuff. It’s the last thing that could’ve been on anyone’s mind.”

They also felt violated.

In addition to losing up to $100,000 in gifts, the experience was also scary for the couple and their loved ones. After all, their wedding reception was meant to be a private, intimate celebration of their love. “He’s watching the dance floor. He’s watching our family,” Nadeen told ABC 7. “It’s so scary to look back and see that there was a stranger at such a private event, and such an intimate event. It’s such a violation.”

In spite of this, the couple is trying to remain positive. George said they’re thankful that everyone is safe. “We had a wonderful ceremony at our church,” he said. “We had a really fun party with our family and friends, and we were able to celebrate up until the incident.”

The newlyweds filed a police report, but the suspect has not been identified. Anyone with information can contact the Glendale Police Department.
