20 Baby Names ‘Guaranteed’ to Produce a Naughty Child

Right in time for that Christmas wish list, School Stickers, which is an online service that helps track kids' good behavior in school, has come out with its regular "Naughty and Nice" list. The twist? It's all about baby names! After surveying the names of more than 63,000 school kids who reported their good behavior in online sticker books, the company posted the names of the best and worst behaved boys and girls. And parents of Jakes and Olivias had best watch out!

According to their study, you better watch out if you use any of these names for girls:

  1. Ella
  2. Bethany
  3. Eleanor
  4. Olivia
  5. Laura
  6. Holly
  7. Courtney
  8. Amber
  9. Caitlin
  10. Jade

And beware these naughty little guys:

  1. Joseph
  2. Cameron
  3. William
  4. Jake
  5. Joshua
  6. Jamie
  7. Lewis
  8. Benjamin
  9. Ethan
  10. Luke

There is good news. They've got some "well-behaved" names for parents to go on.

If you use any of these girl names, you have a nice little sweetie on your hands:

  1. Amy
  2. Georgia
  3. Emma
  4. Charlotte
  5. Grace
  6. Sophie
  7. Abigail
  8. Hannah
  9. Emily
  10. Alice

As for the "good" boys, expect well-behaved little gentlemen if you use any of these names:

  1. Jacob
  2. Daniel
  3. Thomas
  4. James
  5. Adam
  6. Harry
  7. Samuel
  8. Jack
  9. Oliver
  10. Ryan

Sorry to tell you, parents, but if you're raising a little William, better brace for some hectic times ahead.

Kidding.

The list is made in good fun. Yes, it's based on real research and data, but there's no reason to panic. If you've already chosen Ella for your baby girl, this is no reason to swap to Emma. As Neil Hodges, the company's managing director, says, "Obviously there are many Ellas and Josephs that are perfect little angels, just as I’m sure there are many Amys and Jacobs that can be a bit of a handful." And boy, is he right.
