Baby Spotted Casually Hanging Out in the Strangest Spot at a College Basketball Game Goes Viral

You never know what is going to go viral. It’s common for videos of kids to go viral, especially kids seen in public. Sporting events are great places to catch a kid doing something that you just can’t take your eyes off of.

Recently, a little one went viral on social media after they were spotted sitting in an unlikely spot while seeming to enjoy a college basketball game. People were full of jokes about how the pint-sized sports fan could have ended up sitting in a place where they were so easily spotted.

The picture is totally random.

Last week, the Kentucky Wildcats beat the Gonzaga Bulldogs by a point. While the game was a total nail-biter right up until the end, the thing that stuck out for people on social media wasn’t the game. No, it was a random crowd shot showing a toddler, or maybe even a baby, apparently enjoying the game.

The kid seemed to really be enjoying the experience.

A random viewer shared a screenshot of the game on X (formerly Twitter) asking, “Bro why is there a baby on the stairs?” In the screen grab, the kid is sitting on the stairs of the McCarthey Athletic Center in Spokane, Washington, where the Gonzaga University team plays. The little one is clearly enjoying the game, oblivious that people might notice.

People couldn't get over it.

Tired of people blocking his view!” one person responded.

He was too nervous to sit with his fam,” another wrote.

Someone else commented, Babysitting is expensive these days.

How else was the kid supposed to see the free throws?” another person questioned.

Ok these recruiting visits are getting out of hand, no I don’t care that he’s the No.1 prospect in the class of 2040,” someone else joked.

The jokes seem to write themselves.

He’s going to get a beer!” one person exclaimed. ”

Clearly the baby wanted a better view of the game,” someone suggested.

Another comment reads: “Let that baby live. He couldn’t see from his seat.”

Would you rather put baby in a corner?” someone asked.

Because children want to be everywhere except where they’re supposed to be and you pick your battles,” another person commented.
