Is there anything better than a late-night TikTok scroll and an unexpectedly gigantic dose of drama? We think not. Friends, this isn't the '80s, when people could get away with almost anything and no one would know.
Today, surveillance cameras are everywhere and apps track our every move. If you think you can pull a fast one without people finding out, think again.
Hannah Charles just wanted her Instacart order, and when things went awry, she called out her delivery person, Mikayla Clark, on TikTok for a little clarification. Her original video blew up to more than 40 million views, and the world was suddenly invested in these two women and a missing Pack 'n Play. Grab your popcorn — this one is good.

Charles and her husband left a few things at home.
She began telling her story on her TikTok account, @hanzcakess, on June 29, 2024, calling out Clark and asking where her delivery was. According to the Instacart app, Clark completed the shopping but did not deliver anything to Charles and her family, yet they were apparently charged for the entire order.
"You started shopping for my order, and you found literally everything. But most importantly, you found the Pack 'n Play, which is the reason we placed this order. … We need somewhere for my 1-year-old to sleep where she will be safe," Charles said in her viral video.
She told People later that she was concerned not only about the money but also that her daughter had nowhere to sleep. Sharing the story on TikTok seemed like an effective way to find the shopper.
"It's very difficult in today's economy to be young parents," Charles shared. "Social media can get a bad rep sometimes, but this story going viral … is proof of the positive strength that social media can have."
Charles wasn't letting this go.
She explained in her video that it appeared Clark did something sketchy with the Pack 'n Play.
"You told me that the box for the Pack 'n Play was too beat up and so you couldn't scan it. I told you that you could ask an employee for help, and you were like, 'Look, I can give you the receipts. I didn't steal anything.' I said, 'I'm not accusing you,'" she ranted.
The order was reportedly never delivered, and Clark allegedly told the family it was.
Clark apparently shared a photo of delivering the items but it was the wrong house.
Things got ugly quickly and the frustrated mom came for Clark, who claimed she left the items at a black and blue house. But that's not where Charles and her family were staying. Charles went to that house later to retrieve and pick up the items, but they weren't there, either.
When the disgruntled mom contacted Instacart, the company reportedly agreed to refund her but noted it would take days for the money to hit her account.
"We are on our first day of our week-long vacation," Charles explained in her video. "We are out $300 — $130 of that spent towards children's items that we now don't have that we have to go buy again — and we will not see that money back in our account until we're back home from vacation."
The shopper claims internet trolls threatened her.
Clark told People that she tried to deliver the items to Charles but they couldn’t meet. She posted videos clapping back at the mom, but her account was reportedly banned from TikTok, and the platform erased her videos.
"I offered to meet her at Target and get her all the other items if they had more Pack 'n Plays, which she said they did the next day," Clark explained. "I don't even know if that's against regulations, but at that point in time I was in tears with people threatening to show up at my house over an order I didn't have."
Charles said she didn't condone anyone bullying Clark; she just wanted her items.

But things seemed a bit fishy.
Clark is also pregnant and has a baby boy due soon. She allegedly had a Pack 'n Play on her registry that suddenly disappeared around the time she was shopping for Charles' items. The mom said that was just a coincidence.
Clark told People, "The Pack' n Play is off because my in-laws that actually live across the street from me bought me a bassinet a month and a half ago along with a little rocker. That's when that was taken off."
The story had a happy ending for Charles.
Shipt contacted the family and sent a care package to their beach vacation home.
"When we heard about her experience, we knew we could be a part of the solution and hopefully get her back to enjoying her well-deserved vacation a little bit more," a Shipt representative shared in a release to People.
That's one way to stick it to the competitor.
