Picture this: Youâre at the playground and itâs time to take your kid home before it gets dark. You call their name, they immediately come over, and you get into the car. No muss, no fuss … sike! In reality, there are always tears, a high-speed chase around the monkey bars, and probably a full meltdown in front of everyone around. And if youâre anything like TikToker Dee (@momwithgrace2021), you might even have people accuse you of trying to kidnap your child. Sigh. Moms never seem to get a momentâs peace.
In the video from March 1, Dee can be seen carrying her screaming child away from the park.
âMy son almost got me arrested in the park today for kidnapping," she wrote in the videoâs text overlay. âThey asked me to show them proof that he belongs to me."
But she told them that she didnât have any â you know, this being a casual trip to the park and all â so they told her they would have to keep her son until she could provide documentation.
âI said OK,â she wrote.
When Dee started walking away, âThey stopped me and said, 'We believe you ma'am. You can take him with you,â she shared.
âI was going to go home to take a nap until they sort it all out,â she added. âI thought we had a great day at the park,â the mom joked.
Dee's video had other parents in the comments section cracking up.
"Wouldâve ran away screaming a list of his allergies & medical concerns. Cause tag youâre it, see you in three to five business days," wrote one person.
"I wouldâve let them have mine too … eventually they wouldâve bought them back," another person joked.
"You heard FREE BABYSITTER," another person chimed in.
Toddlers are always doing the absolute most outside of the house. Or as the mom herself wrote in the video's caption: "Canât take him nowhere!"
