For most women, childbirth is a lengthy process, culminating in the magical and miraculous moment when they meet the child that’s been sharing their body for the past nine months. But before they get there, there’s a lot of waiting around involved. Moms have to wait until their water breaks — if it does at all. They have to wait until their contractions are close enough. They have to wait until they’re dilated 10 centimeters and then have to wait for the moment the child decides to slide out.
For the birthing person, all of this can be mentally and physically exhausting. But if you’re the partner witnessing all of this go down, you might find yourself a bit … bored. One husband certainly did. He found a unique way to pass the time, and it has the internet cracking up.

Sarah Griffith, who goes by @griffithsarah_ on TikTok, thought her husband was recording sentimental footage of her in labor. Instead, when she had a chance to review it, she found that he’d placed a creepy, old Chihuahua face over hers as she lay in the hospital bed.
In the video, Sarah offers a peace sign to the camera while her husband tells her she looks pretty. In the video you can hear him chuckle slightly to himself.
Despite the creep factor, the video made Sarah smile.
We have an inkling that Sarah was too preoccupied to notice. In the comment section, plenty of people found the moment hilarious. When one user, wrote: “Noooo” along with several laughing emojis, Sarah responded, “I mean I basically looked like this anyway so he was doing my a favor .”
Even though the moment might not be worthy of a Hallmark commercial, Sarah could appreciate the humor, saying it “definitely made her smile.”
There are other moments that capture the beauty of the birth of the couple's daughter.
Thankfully, there are other moments caught on video that more accurately and sweetly depict their daughter's birth.
In a TikTok Sarah created, she showed everything, including her positive pregnancy tests, first ultrasound, a wedding complete with her baby bump, a decorated nursery, her daughter kicking inside her womb, and the moment she was first placed on her chest after delivery.
All in all, we’d say dad was pretty clutch with the footage.
Sarah and Seth started dating when they were just kids.
Sarah and her husband, Seth, the father of her child, have a unique love story. The two met and started dating in middle school. In another TikTok, she shared an image of the two of them when they were younger with the caption, “You’re in middle school. Do you really think it’s going to last?”
Although we’re not sure what happened in between, the video ends with an image of the two of them on their wedding day.
On their wedding day, they wrote a sweet note to their daughter.
Because Sarah was already expecting on her wedding day, the couple included their daughter on the big day by reading a letter to her during the ceremony.
“Yesterday, your mom and dad were kids, just babies ourselves, really. And today we’re bringing together two incredibly special families, your family. You’ll never have to wonder if you are loved because you will feel it all around you every single day … We cannot wait to meet you, sweet girl.”
From the looks of things she’ll be surrounded not only by lots of love but parents with a good sense of humor.
