A high school in Oklahoma has a lot of explaining to do after a video of students licking each other's toes at a school charity event went viral. Students at Deer Creek High School in Edmond participated in a weeklong charity event raising money for Oklahoma City coffee shop Not Your Average Joe, which employs people with physical or mental disabilities.

There was no direct comment on the viral moment, which didn't sit well with members of the school community.
"It's really great that they raised a lot of money," a parent told FOX 25. "I feel like maybe they could've done a little bit more accountability and ownership in that statement for, 'Hey, you know, maybe we didn't fully think this thing through here.'"
Oklahoma State Superintendent Ryan Walters tweeted about the event, calling it "disgusting." In a statement to Newsweek, Walters said, "The video we've seen from Deer Creek is shocking and disgusting. OSDE [Oklahoma State Department of Education] is investigating this incident." The school has yet to directly comment on the incident itself.
