Toddler With Powdered Sugar-Covered Face Denies Eating His Mom’s Donuts In Adorable Video

We don't know about you, but when a craving hits for something sweet, we've got to have it. As moms, we have to sneak those treats sometimes and not leave any evidence behind. The second kids see a candy wrapper or a crumb on our faces, there are 20 questions about what we were eating and whether there is more for them. But as soon as they want to treat themselves, we know darn well there won't be a crumb to spare.

Carly Hodo, who posts on TikTok as @carly_hodo, recently busted her son, Phoenix, with white powder all over his face. She asked him if he'd eaten her donuts, and he looked her straight in the eye and shook his head, "No." The devilishly darling donut thief has garnered 1.5 million views, and people can't get enough.

Phoenix didn't try to hide the evidence.

Hodo captured the video, "Doughnuts? Never heard of em -Phoenix," and it's easy to see why. When she confronts the toddler, he has white lips and cheeks and crumbs all over his chest. Even though he's been caught, Phoenix denies having anything to do with eating those donuts.

His mother asks him if he's positive he didn't eat any donuts.

He fervently shakes his head no, and when his mom asks if he is sure, he nods and says, "I sure." In another video, Hodo asks Phoenix if he's drinking her drink as he has the blinged-out cup in his hand and a straw in his mouth, and he assures her again that he is not.

His mischievous grin and giant blue eyes are enough to melt anyone's heart and forgive his thieving ways.

TikTokers don't think he ate the donuts.

Thousands of TikTokers commented and overwhelmingly agreed that Phoenix's mom had the wrong guy and there was no way he ate those donuts.

Like this person who wrote, "I believe him … He doesn't even look like the doughnut type."

And this one: "I BELIEVE that sweet covered sugary mouth ."

Someone else suggested, "that baby doesn't even like donuts ❤️."

He reminded this person of someone else. "Lol ❤️❤️❤️ It's like Sylvester the cat who claims he didn't eat Tweetie bird while a feathers poking out of his mouth ," the commenter wrote.

Some TikTokers claimed to be his attorney and told his mom to back off.

"As his lawyer, I advise against another word before I get [there], so anything he's said cannot be used in court," one representative said.

And another joked: "Stop questioning my client without his attorney present. Also, can you prove it was your donut?"

Phoenix, we weren't there, so we can't say what happened. But if your mama is anything like us, you keep batting those eyelashes, and you're going to get away with just about anything!
