Michete Scott is a Seattle-based MC who has some major advice for fatphobic concern trolls in a Facebook post that's gone viral.
Michete Scott, a self-described thin person and drug/alcohol abuser, took to his Facebook page to call out people who criticize those whose bodies don't always meet societal norms.
In the post, Scott writes:
"I'm a thin person who rarely exercises and regularly abuses drugs and alcohol, whose diet consists almost exclusively of pizza rolls and Cinnamon Toast Crunch and I can't remember the last time someone told me that I was disgusting or that my body was unacceptable because they were 'concerned for my health' so I'm gonna need some of u to come up with a better reason for your fatphobia and hatred of fat people (or better yet maybe just learn to mind ur own business lol)"
The response on Facebook was not without its trolls, but for the most part it was approving, full of thank you's and a whole lot of this:
Most of the comments were from Facebookers who were sick of hearing judgments about their bodies from people who thought they weren't healthy.
The post has been shared over 4,000 times — even by some of our favorite body-positive celebrities.
