It's Women’s History Month, so let’s use every single minute of this month to celebrate all women. May we know them, may we be them, and may we raise the next generation of women who kick butt. Historically, women have been underestimated, underrated, and undervalued — but that’s a mistake.
Women rule the world with their hearts, minds, and souls — giving everything to the people and things they believe in and never giving up because they’ve spent a lifetime working to be seen and heard. Let’s celebrate the strength, wonder, and magic that is women. We talked to moms to find out who they think the most inspiring women in history are, and came up with a list we couldn't agree more with.
Michelle Obama
“Michelle Obama showed the world Black girl magic in motion. She taught us to go high and, as a girl mom herself, inspired little girls everywhere to chase their dreams.” — Nicole B.
Ruth Bader Ginsburg

“RBG was a little woman who made a huge impact on the world. She pushed through the challenges the world threw at her and kept fighting for what she believed in — women, equality, and human rights.” — Mandy G.
Sonia Sotomayor

"She has been the youngest and the first to hold several positions in her career and her personal life. She is focused on justice and advocates for all. She does not come from a privileged family and has achieved amazing success. She remains grounded and inspires people of all walks of life.” — Lorenza C.
Malala Yousafzai

“‘I don’t want to be remembered as the girl who was shot. I want to be remembered as the girl who stood up.’ This is exactly why she inspires me. She spoke up for education for girls and they tried to silence her. You can’t silence truth.” — Bella B.
Ruby Bridges

"Growing up, Ruby Bridges was an inspiration because regardless of what was being told to her, she didn’t judge or hate people for the things they said. Instead, she hoped they would learn other ways. She was strong enough to overcome what was being said to her and gave others hope that things could change. Her story is so amazing and I learned a lot by reading about what she went through on how to be a good human being and to not let other people get the best of me.” — Ruby G.
Misty Copeland
“Misty Copeland chased her dream, even when they told her it couldn’t be done. She didn’t have the experience, the body type, or the typical opportunities as many other ballerinas. She didn’t care. She loved it and she found a way and never gave up.” — Katie G.
Hillary Clinton

“Hilary Clinton is a strong, intelligent force to be reckoned with. She handled public scrutiny with grace and dignity and never went low. In the end, she was the first woman to run for president of the United States and even without winning, she gave hope and inspiration to a nation of girls and women.” — Debi C.
Tammy Duckworth

“Tammy Duckworth is a true American patriot. She is the first Thai American woman, woman with a disability, first female double amputee in the Senate and the first senator to ever give birth while serving in office. She is a trailblazer and nothing stops her.” — Lisa S.
Kamala Harris

“First African American, first Asian American, first woman vice president of the United States of America. She’s an inspiration to all women. Enough said.” — Tanya B.
Frida Kahlo

“Frida Kahlo lived her life in pain but never let herself be the victim. She let the hard parts become the inspiration for her art. She was a fearless Latina who lived by her own rules.” — Lucia R.
Coco Chanel

“Coco Chanel made the world a woman’s. She didn’t care what was expected, she created her own way. She wasn’t afraid to think for herself and do what she wanted.” — Gabi C.
Maya Angelou
“Maya Angelou’s words inspired and touched people. On a personal level, she lived through so many hard times and never let any of them stop her from using her voice and telling her truth. Every woman should live so phenomenally.” — Michelle G.
Chrissy Teigen

“Chrissy Teigen is a highly successful celebrity but I admire her for her sense of humor, the way she loves her family, and how she's so unapologetic about who she is. She gives no Fs about the haters and is living her best life while making the world a better place by doing her part to change it.” — Melissa T.
Meghan Markle
“Meghan Markle, because she chose the right thing even when it was hard in order to give her children a better life. She refused to be quiet and carry on. She spoke up when she could have just stayed quiet and kept enjoying life as a royal.” — Liz K.

Dolores Huerta

“Delores Huerta is an OG bada–. She is a civil rights and labor leader, always fighting for the right thing. Her can-do spirit inspired a nation with her rally cry for equality and fair treatment, 'Si, se puede,' in 1972 and then again when President Obama borrowed the words during a 2008 campaign speech.” — Jodie W.
