Even with all the progress that has been made by the body positivity movement, body shaming still happens, but this Bridgerton star is letting it roll right off her shoulders. When someone made a comment about Nicola Coughlan's body during an event to promote the regency drama's third season, Nicola had the perfect comeback at the ready — and she made everyone laugh in the process. Playing Penelope Featherington is hard work, but someone's gotta do it!

Nicola was taking questions at an event in Dublin.
While on stage at Light House Cinema, someone stepped up to the mic to tell her that they thought she was "very brave" to play Penelope in the series, given all of the nudity that was required of her.
A comment like that might have thrown some people off, but Nicola didn't miss a beat.
She concurred that she was brave, but not in the way the person was insinuating!
"You know, it is hard, ‘cause I think women with my body type — women with perfect breasts — we do not get to see ourselves onscreen enough," she said. "I am a very proud member of the perfect breasts community, and I hope you enjoy seeing them."
The response she got really says it all — she was met with so much laughter and cheering.
Fans are loving her comeback.
On X (formerly Twitter), fans called her a "legend" and an "icon," while others decided to add themselves to that category too.
"I too have great breasts and I'm happy to finally have some representation," one person tweeted.

This isn't the first time she's spoken out against body shaming.
In May, Nicola told Stylist that she wanted to be very intentional with her nude scenes in Bridgerton.
"There’s one scene where I’m very naked on camera, and that was my idea, my choice," she said. "It just felt like the biggest ‘f— you’ to all the conversation surrounding my body; it was amazingly empowering. I felt beautiful in the moment, and I thought: ‘When I’m 80, I want to look back on this and remember how f—ing hot I looked!’"
Good for Nicola for speaking up for the perfect breasts community.
This is the kind of representation the world has needed for a long time!
Meanwhile, there are only a couple of days to go until we finally get to see the rest of Bridgerton season three – not that we're counting or anything.
