Beloved '90s heartthrob Keanu Reeves has once again shown us why he remains a fan favorite. The John Wick star recently hosted a very enlightening Reddit AMA (aka Ask Me Anything), answering a wide range of questions. We can't decide what our favorite Keanu fact is, but here are a few of his best responses.
Keanu fielded fans questions on Saturday.
Chatting under the username Lion's Gate, Keanu shared some of his deepest secrets. One person was curious about whether the actor had ever stolen anything from a set, prompting Keanu to offer up the most Keanu answer.
"Not stolen … the watch and wedding ring from John Wick, a sword from 47 Ronin, and the first red pill that the Wachowskis ever gave me [a reference to The Matrix]" he responded, proving he's just as honest as we always knew he was.
He also addressed some queries about his favorite roles.
Given Keanu's long-running career, lots of people had questions about the films he has (and hasn't) worked on over the years. When it comes to the actor's favorite roles, he named River's Edge, Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure, the Matrix trilogy, and more.
As for the roles that got away, it doesn't seem as if there were actually all that many. Keanu seemed to have just one regret: not getting a chance to play Wolverine from X-Men.
There's a good chance Keanu is going to be the first person in line to greet extraterrestrial life, should they ever reach out.
One curious Redditor was dying to know whether Keanu, given the chance, would ever want to act as Earth's emissary and welcome any aliens that happened to land on our planet.
"Heck yea," he replied. "How's it going? How was your trip? You hungry? Want anything to drink?"
With Keanu in the greeting party, Earth might actually have a chance at a peaceful first encounter of the third kind!
Unfortunately, Keanu did break some hearts.
People have been dying for the hunk — we mean Hollywood star — to make an appearance on Hot Ones, a show where celebrities typically answer questions while noshing on some of the spiciest wings around. In fact, fans are so eager for Keanu to visit the set that they even started a petition. Sadly, Keanu said the chicken wings interview just isn't in the cards for him.
"I love chicken wings … but I don't want to eat really spicy chicken wings … especially not in public … and certainly not with the consequences in private. Bon [appetit]," he wrote.
We can't argue with that logic!
Keanu also let fans know what he'd be doing if he wasn't acting.
We don't even want to think about a world without Keanu in some of our favorite movies, but if he wasn't appearing on screen, the 58-year-old has a pretty good idea of what he'd be doing instead. When asked what he'd love to do with his life, Keanu named everything from being an astrophysicist to a race car driver.
"Today, let's conduct some music," he finally said of his musical aspirations.
We love that Keanu is just as laid-back and down to earth as he's always seemed, proving that he really is the whole package.
