Queen’s Former Aide & Best Friend Has Been ‘Cut Off’ by King Charles Ahead of Coronation

Dressmaker turned personal aide to the late Queen Elizabeth Angela Kelly claims she's been booted from the royal fold. The 65-year-old shared some of the painful details on Instagram on Friday, seeming to point fingers at King Charles. Unfortunately for the monarchy, this may only be the first stop of Angela's grievance tour.

Angela made several posts explaining why she no longer calls Windsor home.

According to the Daily Mail, Angela shared a series of pictures and statements to Instagram to tell her story. "Getting ready to say goodbye," she captioned a photo of her garden in Windsor.

"I am moving to my last new home which I will be able to call 'My Home' at last."

When fans asked why she was making the change, Angela was quick to spill the royal tea.

She told a friend how she'd been cut off by the royals.

Despite the expectations that the royals would continue to look after her thanks to her years of service, Angela explained that she'd been abruptly dropped by the family.

"Hi Paula I'm moving to the Peak District just further on than Sheffield so not to far away from the family," she said in response to a friend's question, adding that she'd privately share her address so they could visit. "My works phone has been disconnected but hopefully you have this one. If not I will get in touch with your office. Looking forward to my new adventures."

The cold shoulder comes on the heels of several outbursts.

Apparently Angela has been unable to keep her temper in check. Daily Mail claims Angela once threw a bag of trash at one of the catering staff because her lunch was served late.

Perhaps most damning of all is the fact that other than the Queen, the royals didn't seem to like her very much, with Prince Harry even addressing her by name in his memoir Spare, claiming she was behind the headline making snafu with Meghan’s tiara.

Some friends believe Angela was mistreated after the Queen's death.

Thanks to her years of service, many thought she would be named a Dame Commander. Instead, Charles gave her the lower stature title of Commander of the Royal Victorian Order, confusing those in royal circles and seeming to point at a falling out between Angela and the royals.

The royal family may want to watch themselves when it comes to dissing Angela.

Angela has already written two memoirs about her time with the Queen. Daily Mail points out that her book deal is for three titles, which means she still has another one that she has yet to publish.

Due to her close physical and emotional relationship to the Queen, she likely has a lot of stories she could share about the family. Given the runaway success of Prince Harry's book, we imagine people would be interested to learn even more about the inner workings of the royal family.
