Rumer Willis Shares the First Photos of Grandpa Bruce Willis Holding His Granddaughter

Bruce Willis and his family have been through a lot over the past couple of years, but this weekend, they also had a lot to celebrate. As part of a sweet Father's Day tribute, Rumer Willis shared the first photos of Bruce as a grandpa, something she says she'll always treasure.

Rumer paid tribute to her dad.

In a post she shared on Instagram on Sunday, Rumer shared a photo of Bruce holding his granddaughter, baby Louetta — the first we've seen of this duo together.

"Seeing my father hold my daughter today was something I will treasure for the rest of my life. His sweetness and love for her was so pure and beautiful," she wrote.

She also shared a photo of all three of them together.

The second photo in Rumer's Father's Day carousel post featured her and Bruce — and Louetta in her mom's arms — as they smiled together.

"Papa I’m so lucky to have you and so is Lou. Thank you for being the silliest, most loving, coolest Daddio a girl could ask for. Best Girl Dad in the game …" she continued.

She wasn't the only daughter to pay tribute to Bruce.

Scout also took to Instagram to share sweet photos with her dad on Father's Day, along with an emotional caption.

"I feel so lucky to know the kind of tenderness that this man shares, the deep admiration, respect and reverence he has for his family. I feel so lucky that this incredible, vibrant, man is my father," she wrote.

News broke earlier this year that Bruce was formally diagnosed with dementia.

In February, his family released a statement revealing that the aphasia he was experiencing was actually due to frontotemporal dementia, or FTD.

"Since we announced Bruce’s diagnosis of aphasia in spring 2022, Bruce’s condition has progressed and we now have a more specific diagnosis: frontotemporal dementia (known as FTD). Unfortunately, challenges with communication are just one symptom of the disease Bruce faces. While this is painful, it is a relief to finally have a clear diagnosis," the family shared at the time.

It's good to see he's able to enjoy his granddaughter.

It can be so heartbreaking to see someone you love experiencing dementia, but it appears Bruce, his daughters, and his brand-new granddaughter are getting plenty of quality time to spend together these days. We know none of them are taking this for granted.
