She called Louetta 'the love of my life.'
"This body of mine made a human from scratch … and she looks and feels a little different now but I am truly in awe every day when I look at my daughter and see her smile or look at her perfect face and tiny toes and the way her eyes light up when she wakes up in the morning and recognizes my face. She is the love of my life," she began the post.
In the photo, Rumer is in a seated position and leaning forward a bit, allowing her body the space to breathe. She is looking directly into the camera as if to capture the precise moment of her acceptance of herself.
She gives acknowledgment to her body that she "spent so many years trying to shape and mold into what I thought was desirable or made me feel good in clothes" by sharing in the post that it’s "a little softer and rounder and jiggly and different and that’s ok."
She said this experience is 'kind of amazing.'
"It’s kind of amazing because I grew a person inside of it," she wrote.
A postpartum body, especially within the fourth trimester, is one in transition, and Willis is aware of that. "I know my body is still readjusting, but whatever shape it ends up in I am just grateful for all that it did and continues to do," she wrote.
"The most profound beauty I’ve ever felt in myself emerges from remembering daily, to not reject these parts of me, but just embrace and give them such deep gratitude," she shared.
Willis was quick to praise the parts of her body postpartum moms are taught to hate.
She also spends time giving different parts of her body a special shout-out for not only the way they’ve transformed but also how they help her show up as the mother she hopes to be.
"My breasts, might be bigger and perhaps ever so drifting downward but what a gift and privilege that they can feed and provide nourishment for my Lou," she wrote, adding that her breasts "also make a fantastic pillow while we cosleep."
"My hips and tummy, now softer and rounder, cradle my daughter in safety, warmth, and love," she shared.

Her followers praised her for sharing her truth.
Her followers were really feeling the love she was giving herself and, by extension, other mothers.
"I wish all mothers could read this as you so aptly describe the beauty of a women's body and motherhood. Congratulations on the arrival of your little angel," one person commented.
"Love this!! I still get that 'Whoa you were created inside of me' feeling when I look at my daughter sometimes 11 years later!!!" another person shared.
Willis once said giving birth was 'the wildest thing.'
Since having Louetta, Willis has been quite open about her pregnancy and delivery, including sharing a story of how she helped break her own water during labor.
"I reached my finger up there, and I'm feeling and it was crazy. I could totally feel this little bag — it feels like a water balloon, but with a bit tougher skin," she shared during an episode of the Informed Pregnancy podcast.
She explained that she "popped it" under her midwife’s instruction during a contraction, describing the experience as "the most ecstatic, joyful moment of my entire life."
