Kylie Jenner is facing some serious backlash on social media after she shared a graphic in her Instagram Stories Saturday claiming to stand with Israel amid the growing conflict between Israel and Hamas. After Hamas launched an unprecedented attack on Israel, many people flocked to social media to express their support for the victims. But many of Kylie's fans and critics took to social media to condemn the beauty mogul for posting in support of Israel, especially because her friends Bella and Gigi Hadid are outspoken advocates for supporting Palestine.

Her fans were not pleased with her choice.
According to multiple reports, Kylie's decision to share the graphic, which was originally posted by pro-Israel account @standwithus, has cost her over 230,000 followers on Instagram. Granted, she still has close to 400 million followers, but the number is still significant when you consider that it’s because of a singular post.
Hundreds of Palestinians have been killed and thousands injured in the conflict so far. Israel’s president has declared war, and although the details of the situation may be layered and complex, a loss of lives like this is always horrifying.
Kylie deleted the post quickly, but that didn't matter.
Although neither Kylie nor her team ever addressed the graphic or made any additional statements, they must have gotten wind of the backlash because within an hour of posting the graphic, it was deleted without a word. The move only seemed to anger people more, and they let her know in the comments of her most recent Instagram post, which was totally unrelated to what’s happening in Israel.
People are sharing their disappointment all over social media.
There are dozens of #freepalestine comments on her IG post, and some people have chosen to simply comment with the Palestinian flag. Others took the time to let Kylie know that her decision led them to unfollow her.
Over on X (formerly Twitter), people are being understandably critical over Kylie's choice to post the graphic without seeming to do any research into the conflict beforehand.
"#KylieJenner has no ideas what is going on between #Isreal and #Palestine. Right now Celebrities should only condemn the war crimes which are happening from both sides," one user tweeted.
Many are accusing Kylie of posting for attention.
"It’s actually way worse that Kylie Jenner just deleted the Israel post. It shows a lack of knowledge and care, she just posted it to be talked about," another person tweeted.
"I’ve never been more disappointed and disgusted by Kylie Jenner in my entire life," yet another person wrote.

Others are questioning her friendship with Bella Hadid.
Many people on social media pointed out Kylie's friendship with the Hadid sisters as a reason they took issue with her sharing that graphic. Their father, Mohamed Hadid, is Palestinian, and Bella especially has been an outspoken supporter of the Free Palestine movement.
"Kylie Jenner supporting Israel when her friend Bella Hadid is Palestinian is crazy," another person tweeted.
"Do these celebrities listen to each other when they talk?" one person shared, according to Page Six. "Like when Bella Hadid talks about Palestine and being Palestinian does Kylie Jenner know what that means?"
