Three Families Share Their Fantastic RVing Experiences

Taking a family road trip is a great way to spend quality time together. To really get the most out of the experience, RVing is the best option. You can travel the country with ease, while the RV provides all the comforts of home. You don’t have to worry about hotels, rental cars, or even restaurants, because your RV can serve so many purposes. Don’t take my word for it — hear directly from three families who took RV trips this year:

Staci Salazar

Staci Salazar has been taking RV trips since she was a kid, so this year she went RVing with her kids and grandkids. Watch her video to see how it went!

"I’ve been traveling in RV trailers since I was a kid! Some of my favorite memories were made on the road each summer with my family. Now, I truly enjoy the quality time we spend with our kids and granddaughters on a RV trip. There’s something truly magical about RV trips that bring families closer together.

From campfire storytelling to board games, outdoor adventures, s’mores, and stargazing, every moment becomes a memory we’ll cherish forever. Gathered around the campfire, we share tales of adventure and laughter that only the open road can inspire. Our board game battles are legendary, and the joy in our kids’ eyes as they explore the great outdoors is priceless.

But the best part? When the night falls, we lie beneath the star-studded sky, savoring s’mores and the simple pleasure of each other’s company. RV travel is a game-changer, removing distractions and letting us focus on what truly matters: bonding, sharing, and making memories that last a lifetime.

Stacey Garska Rodriguez

Stacey Garska Rodriguez took an RV trip for the first time last year and they had such a fantastic time that they decided to go again this year! Watch the video to learn about their experience.

"Last year our family went on an RV camping trip for the first time. We had such an amazing time that we decided to make it a yearly tradition!

This year we picked a new location for our stay — but one thing we didn’t change was using the delivery option for our RV rental. This Texas heat is no joke and the trip gets off to a much better start when the RV is already waiting for you and ready to go.

And yes, I said RV rental — you don’t have to own an RV to @gorving — renting is a great way to try it out and see what kind of RV best fits your family!

I put together a video of my top tips for an awesome (and easy!) RV trip with kids. Anything you’d add? Anything you want to know? Drop a line in the comments!

Kristina Buskirk

Kristina Buskirk had never been RVing before, but she and her family were excited for a new adventure. Watch the video to see how this family enjoyed RVing!

"This summer we went on an epic RV road trip thanks to @GoRVing. We’d never been RVing before and now we’re a little bit obsessed. We had so much fun! We took three of our kids, picked up an RV, and we were off!

Things I loved about RVing:

  1. We always had everything we needed with us!
  2. We didn’t need to find bathrooms, we just stopped the RV and used the one inside.
  3. We had freedom to adjust our travel plans.
  4. We explored places we might not have visited.
  5. We made new friends at the RV campgrounds!
  6. We got closer as a family trying something new and working together.

Things the kids loved about RVing:

  1. We had a freezer so we could have popsicles and ice cream bars anytime.
  2. They got a bunk bed or a loft bed- THE best!
  3. We could go outside and look for stars in the RV park every night.
  4. The RV campground had access to a pool.
  5. They got to bring all their stuffed animals because we had more space than a regular road trip.
  6. We could make s’mores!
