Kendall & Kris Jenner Now Under Fire for Promoting Underage Drinking at Colleges

This all started when Kris shared an update from Kendall's tour.

Kris shared photos and videos of Kendall's visits to the University of Georgia and the University of Alabama. It looks like not only was she bartending but she was also handing out shots in the bar.

This seems to be Kendall's target market, so it makes sense she would want to get the word out here. But at this point, it seems as if plenty of people disagree with how she's choosing to promote her brand.

Kris and Kendall were quickly called out in the comments.

It appears that many people were unhappy with Kendall taking her alcohol to college campuses.

"Considering drinking age is 21 most undergrads can’t drink how appropriate is this?" one commenter asked.

Another wrote, "I’m wondering who thought this was a good idea?? She should be ashamed of herself."

Not everyone feels that way, though.

On a post featuring a photo of Kendall on tour on the official 818 Tequila Instagram account that was shared earlier this week, the comments are all from students asking the Kardashians star to come to their schools next.

One commenter even praised Kendall's business model, writing, "Seeing the founder and owner of a business actually give a s— about the product and consumers is a breath of fresh f—ing air! @kendalljenner and @drink818, bravo to you for showing how a business is supposed to be run!!"

This isn't the first time Kendall has promoted the brand like this.

Last year, Kendall made the rounds at several other universities to get the word out about her growing tequila brand. In 2023, her tour stops included Ohio State University and the University of Michigan, among others.

This also isn't the first time her brand has come under fire. When it was first launched in 2021, Kendall was called out for appropriating Mexican culture in an ad campaign.

Kendall certainly isn't the first to market alcohol to a college audience.

And there's a very good chance she won't be the last.

But it's also important to remind everyone to drink responsibly — including those of college age who are likely new to alcohol and are still learning what their boundaries around substances should be.
