Madonna opened up about the scary event on stage.
Videos from Madonna speaking to the crowd at her December 16 concert in Brooklyn have made their way to social media. In the video, we can hear Madonna thanking the "very important" people who helped her during this scary time.
"I passed out on my bathroom floor; I woke up in the ICU – thank you, Siobhan, she saved my life," Madonna said, adding that she was then put into "an induced coma for 48 hours."
Her loved ones gathered at her side.
Madonna went on to share that while she was in the coma, she was able to hear the voice of her Kabbalah teacher, who was holding her hand.
All six of her kids were also there to support her. Her children include Lourdes Leon, 27, Rocco Ritchie, 23, David Banda, 18, Chifundo "Mercy" James, 17, and twins Stella and Estere, 11.
"I had to almost die to get all my kids in one room," she joked.
She was hospitalized for 'several days' in June.
At the time of Madonna's health scare, her manager, Guy Oseary, shared a statement via Instagram confirming that the 65-year-old singer's tour would need to be postponed as she recovered.
"On Saturday June 24, Madonna developed a serious bacterial infection which [led] to a several day stay in the ICU. Her health is improving, however she is still under medical care. A full recovery is expected," the statement read.
