The mom of a 9-year-old Black girl in Florida who was threatened by a neighbor is speaking out. Beyond Shabazz says she believes Tyler Chambers would follow through with his threats. Chambers went viral on social media after posting a threatening message when he caught Shabazz’s daughter Sincere on his doorbell camera.
The girl was going door-to-door selling candy, unbeknownst to her mother. Things suddenly blew up when Chambers’ message got shared outside of the private online group where it was posted. Now, the mom is in the process of taking legal action.
On Monday, April 14, 2025, Sincere and her 11-year-old cousin went out into their neighborhood to sell candy and some toys to earn money. Shabazz told Atlanta Black Star that she didn’t know the girls were doing this. She was inside her home with her 1-year-old child and her mother, who was recovering from surgery. Within in hours, she was being told by family that Sincere’s face was all over social media.
In a post shared to a local Facebook group, Tyler Chambers shared a screenshot of Sincere from his doorbell camera footage. “[Youâre] lucky we werenât home to shoot your a– dumb b—-,” he wrote.
The hatred these people have for our innocent babies is horrific. This man name is Tyler Chambers and he stated that he wouldâve killed this young baby girl just for knocking on his door. #TylerChambers pic.twitter.com/Dr5BhHx7fD

On April 15, Beyond Shabazz went to Chambers’ home. A concealed carry license holder, the woman took a weapon to protect herself. The blatant threat in his post made her fearful for her safety. However, when she got to the Chambers home, no one was there. It was then that the mother went to the police. While filing a report, officers told her that Chambers and his family had fled their home after being doxxed over the post. They also told her Chambers wanted to apologize to her for the post.
“Deep down, I really feel like he did mean what he said, and I feel like if he was home, he would have hurt my baby. So I wasnât on board with him apologizing to me,” she told Atlanta Black Star.
“I moved them out here thinking this would be good for them â good schools, good neighborhood, where they can go outside and play and I feel comfortable,” Shabazz said of her reason to more to the Riverview neighborhood. “But now that this has happened, Iâm kind of now keeping them to myself.”
And all the attention is getting to Sincere as well. “I can see that it bothered her. She donât even wanna go back outside,” Shabazz said. “I tried to talk to her and let her know sheâs 9 years old, she still gets to enjoy life, but these things donât go away. Itâs always gonna be there, and when she looks on social media 10 years from now, sheâll still see that.”
Detectives examined the camera footage, speaking with Shabazz and Sincere. They have since given their findings to the state attorney’s office. Now, prosecutors are deciding whether they will file charges. A Change.org petition with over 1,300 signatures is encouraging charges to be filed. Beyond Shabazz has also started a GoFundMe to raise money for legal counsel.
“Iâm gonna fight because this is my daughter. I want her to look back and say that my mom fought that case for me, not my mom say back and did nothing. I wonât let this go until something is done about it,” the mother said.
