12-Year-Old Accused of Sending Chilling Death Threat to Middle School Teachers in Alarming Email

A Wisconsin sixth grader allegedly made a terrifying threat against his school and wound up in big trouble. The unidentified 12-year-old boy reportedly sent an email to Kennedy Middle School on June 2, 2025, threatening to kill the teachers. Although the student allegedly tried to make the threat anonymously, Germantown police tracked down the Google account where the email originated. Now, the middle schooler may face charges related to a terrorist threat.

According to a press release from Germantown police, a school secretary uncovered a threatening email.

“On June 2nd 2025, we will show up to Kennedy Middle School with an AK-47 and kill all of the teachers. We will start with the Eastside of the school, then the west,” the message read.

The school secretary immediately contacted the Germantown police resource officer to report the email. Investigators reportedly traced the email to a residence in Germantown and issued a search warrant. After seizing multiple electronic devices, police allegedly found the Google account associated with the threat.

Police told Fox 6 they spoke with the 12-year-old suspect, who reportedly said he was upset about a recent interaction with a teacher at school and admitted to making the threat. He said he had no intention of following through. The student’s parents reportedly cooperated with police and said the child had no access to weapons.

Even though the threat turned out to be idle, it created a frightening situation for parents, students, and staff at Kennedy Middle School.

“I had parents that day calling and asking, ‘are my kids safe?’ We take every complaint like this of this nature, very seriously,” Germantown Police Captain Penny Schmitt told Fox 6. “You can’t be anonymous. You can delete it, but there are still pathways to that evidence.”

Schmitt added that school administrators and police took the situation seriously and did their best to keep everyone in the building safe.

“We had a police presence there,” Schmitt said. “We were monitoring the area in the school inside and out.”

Sadly, Fox 6 reported that a shooting took place at Kennedy Middle School in 2023. Two years ago, a shooter showed up after hours and opened fire at police officers. Approximately 70 people were inside the school at the time.

Schmitt reiterated that police take all threats seriously. “Unfortunately, our source of the threat is a young person in our community,” she said, per Fox 6. “While that’s unfortunate, at least we were able to bring a resolution to the case.”
