As busy parents, we can all own up to the fact that sometimes we just assume good intent. We stay alert and vigilant, but the truth is, sometimes a “creepy” or very “dangerous” thing pops up in a totally innocuous and unexpected place.
Mom Savannah, who posts as @savannah0011 on TikTok, is issuing a warning to look out for kids’ clothing that may contain disturbing or subversively creepy messaging. The mom bought a sweet Easter dress for her daughter that seemed innocent enough. It had a pink top with three bunnies on it and a graphic design skirt that had Easter images such as jelly beans and decorated eggs printed on it along with what she thought were sweet seasonal sayings.

What was wrong with the dress?
One day when he daughter was napping, however, she decided to read the messages and see what they said, and as it turns out, they weren’t very sweet at all. The sayings were full of innuendos, with some being borderline sexually explicit.
“Let’s pretend we’re rabbits and do whatever comes naturally,” read one message, as a different one shared: “My tulips (two lips) want to be on your tulips.”
Although Savannah categorized “You’ve been the best husband and friend a girl could have ever asked for” as the weirdest message, there were two that were especially creepy.
“This coupon entitles you to one free peep show!” and “Want to have an Easter egg hunt under the covers?” were by far the most off-putting in her opinion.
People on TikTok had some intense reactions.
The video garnered over 2.8 million views along with 27k comments of horror and disgust.
“The world is so perverted now,” one commentor noted.
“Everyone attacking her for not reading it, it’s children’s clothing,” one person commented, defending the mom. “Who would expect a babies dress to have those words on it?”
What’s being done about it?
The internet got to work fast, according to the New York Post, and sussed out the maker, Lele & Co. The brand issued a statement apologizing for the oversight.
“I would like to express my deepest apologies for the inappropriate text found on one of the clothing items sold in my store,” it reads. “This particular piece was a resale item from a vendor, and regrettably, I did not catch the offensive wording before it was listed. Please rest assured that this does not align with the values I uphold or support. We are in the process of taking any and all necessary legal actions against the vendor.”
The company added, “For the record, the item in question has been promptly removed from my website and all social media accounts. All remaining stock was destroyed immediately.”
