Elementary School Teacher Suspended After Allegedly Showing Students Video of Charlie Kirk’s Death

A Canadian teacher is in hot water for some alleged actions in the wake of Charlie Kirk’s murder. The teacher, who has not been identified, allegedly showed a group of young children video of right-wing extremist Charlie Kirk getting shot. Kirk’s killing on September 10, 2025, has created a lot of strong reactions from many different types of people, and it seems this teacher was one of them.

In addition to showing young students a video of the killing, the teacher reportedly shared his views on Kirk and what he stood for. Now, he may face losing his job for those beliefs.

According to a report from the Toronto Sun, the Toronto District School Board is investigating the Canadian teacher’s alleged behavior. While the investigation is happening, the teacher has been relieved of his duties effective September 12, 2025.

The teacher works with 10- and 11-year-olds at Corvette Junior Public School in Toronto. On September 11, school administrators received complaints from parents about their children allegedly seeing the graphic video. Thankfully, the administration acted quickly to address the issue, sending out a letter to the school community.

“We are writing to inform you about an incident that is reported to have taken place in your child’s class yesterday. During class, students were said to have been shown a portion of a violent video in response to questions being asked about a recent tragic event in the United States,” Principal Jennifer Koptie wrote in the letter.

“The teacher has been relieved of all teaching responsibilities pending the outcome of the investigation and will not be at the school,” she assured parents.

A source who is allegedly close to the situation spoke with the newspaper about the incident.

“Several students from his class went home and complained to their parents, traumatized at witnessing the on-camera death, which they were forced to witness numerous times over,” the source alleged.

“While playing this video repeatedly, he gave a speech to his students regarding anti-fascism, anti-trans, and how Charlie Kirk deserved for this to occur,” the insider also claimed.

According to Koptie’s letter, the Canadian teacher was allegedly “supervising” the class. He isn’t the class’s regular homeroom teacher. Regardless, the school understood the severity of seeing someone shot and killed.

“While an investigation must still be conducted to learn all of the details, the report of this incident is extremely troubling and completely unacceptable,” Koptie wrote, per the Sun. “We recognize the seriousness of this matter and have taken immediate steps to follow all appropriate policies and procedures.”

She added that social worker support would be made available to the students should they need it.
