Savannah Chrisley Reveals She Was Set To Appear at Charlie Kirk’s Tour Before His Death

Savannah Chrisley has become a big part of the conservative political community in recent years, and now, she’s joining the party in mourning someone she considered a friend. In an emotional Instagram post she shared on Wednesday following the death of political commentator Charlie Kirk, Savannah revealed that she was set to join Charlie on his college tour next month before he was shot and killed this week.

Charlie Kirk died at an event on his tour on Wednesday.

Charlie, the 31-year-old commentator best known for his work with the conservative organization Turning Point, was speaking September 10 at Utah Valley University for his Prove Me Wrong tour when he was shot. According to multiple news outlets, including CNN, Charlie was brought to a hospital where he later died of his injuries. The shooter is still at large.

Savannah said she felt ‘numb.’

Savannah paid tribute to Charlie with a post on Instagram, breaking down in tears as she spoke about meeting him for the first time while her parents, Todd and Julie Chrisley, were serving time in federal prison.

“The past two and a half years of my life have been some of the hardest years I’ve ever had to endure, but in those two and a half years, I’ve met so many great people and lifelong friends, and one of those people that brought me into their world was Charlie Kirk,” she said.

She shared that she was supposed to be at Charlie’s October events.

Both in the video and in the caption of her post, Savannah explained that she was set to speak at multiple stops of Charlie’s tour.

“I can’t believe I’m even writing these words,” she wrote. “Charlie Kirk changed my life … he brought me into the Turning Point family this past year, and I was supposed to be standing next to him at every college this October. Instead, I sit here with a broken heart, devastated beyond words.”

Savannah said she is ‘devastated beyond words.’

She went on to write about what Charlie meant to her.

“He believed in me and in my family when the world turned its back,” she continued. “He saw potential, he spoke life into us, and he reminded me that God still had a plan even when I couldn’t see it myself. That kind of belief changes you forever.”
