For one, Elaina St. James, her future as a trad wife was what she tried for years to make happen. Then, she explained to USA Today, her boyfriend dumped her through e-mail and she reevaluated things. The 58-year-old turned to OnlyFans eventually and, in the time she has been making content on the adults only platform, she has reportedly earned more than $1 million.
How does one go from hoping to be a stay-at-home mom and homemaker to a near senior citizen making bank on OnlyFans? St. James told USA Today that, after she read an article about a woman who earned six figures from OnlyFans, she began to do some research. She started her own account in 2021 and, after she realized that promoting her older age was what some users would pay a lot for, things took off.
OnlyFans is apparently a great second option for prospective housewives.
Joining OnlyFans and making more than $1.5 million from it over the course of less than three years is a far cry away from trying to be a housewife and have kids. But, St. James explained to USA Today, after she dealt with the controlling nature of her boyfriend and was then dumped unceremoniously by him, she had to look at her choices and see what she wanted to do for herself.
St. James is also active on Instagram with more than 430,000 followers.
She makes money on OnlyFans, but her Instagram posts are also a small taste of what fans can expect when they hop over to the other platform and pay to see more content. She often leans heavily into how old she is and she celebrates what age has taught her about life and about being a woman.
Of course, it doesn’t hurt that St. James also wears bikinis or low-cut tops more often than not in her social media photos and videos. But a lot of her posts also feature inspirational quotes that urge her followers to keep moving forward if they face challenges, not unlike her own story.
But you don’t have to become an OnlyFans star if you run into a roadblock in life, just an FYI.
St. James has turned her OnlyFans fame into something bigger since she joined the platform in 2021. According to her website, she has two AI chatbots that fans can talk to as if they are her, and she also has a profile on Fansly, where subscribers can pay money on a tiered system to get even more content from St. James.
When she spoke to USA Today, St. James admitted that “women are scared right now” in the world and that there are a lot of different labels they might have.
Some still want to live the trad wife life, but for St. James, who lived it in part and then left it behind, there was a lot more for her afterward.
