Since the couple’s July 2021 wedding, Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton have become well acquainted with constant rumors about the state of their relationship. And lately, those rumors have been pretty negative; a lot of fans are convinced that they’ve decided to go their separate ways.
But over the holiday weekend, Gwen took to Instagram to shut down the rumors with a simple selfie, letting her followers know that she’s not on the market — at least, not right now.
Gwen and Blake showed off some PDA.
In a post that Gwen shared on her Instagram Stories on Friday (which has since expired, but was captured by multiple outlets including The Sun), her husband can be seen kissing her on the cheek — which means that these two look more loved up than they have in a while.
Gwen didn’t caption the photo or offer any sentimental words about Blake, so it sounds like she might be thinking that just a little PDA alone might do the trick.
Lately, the clues that there could be trouble in paradise have been piling up.
As The Sun pointed out, the rumors first began in March when Blake released his song with Gwen called “Hangin’ On,” which was very clearly a break up song.
It certainly didn’t help matters when Blake and Gwen skipped out on attending the CMA Awards without much of an explanation, other than a source telling E! News that they would be “watching the CMA on their TV this year,” instead of seeing the event in person — despite the fact that Blake was nominated (and even won) an award that night.
Add that to the fact that they haven’t been spotted out and about together very often, and it’s easy to see why some fans may have been jumping to conclusions.
Blake hasn’t posted about Gwen since October.
That was when he shared a photo of the two smooching for the camera in honor of Gwen’s birthday on October 3.
“Y’all help me wish @gwenstefani a happy birthday!!!!!!” he wrote at the time. “I love you pretty girl!!!!!”
Hopefully, Blake and Gwen are truly doing as well as it seems. Considering how into each other they were when they first began falling in love after they met on The Voice, it would be a bummer to see them split up after they’ve come such a long way.
