John Cena Gets Legit Annoyed When a Random Fan Starts Singing to Him in Public

Some people love to be serenaded, and others would rater be doing anything else, and as far as we can tell, John Cena most certainly belongs in that second category. A viral video on TikTok shows the moment that John was approached by a fan singing his heart out in public… and the reaction that the retired professional wrestler had definitely couldn’t have been what this fan predicted.

A fan named Harry Daniels walked up to John Cena singing.

At the time of their interaction, John seemed to be in a café and was a bit caught off guard when the fan, Harry Daniels, approached him and immediately started singing Taylor Swift’s song, “Invisible String.”

Harry barely got a line of the song out before John was on his feet, putting a stop to it. He was clearly confused by what was going on (as anyone would be) and didn’t want to let it go any farther without figuring out what’s up — especially since it seemed to be clear to him that he was being recorded.

John was entirely unamused.

“Let’s start with hello,” John said after he stood up and walked closer to Harry. “Nice to meet you, I’m John. Would you like to sing now?”

To that, Harry said yes, and John asked, “For what purpose?” But after Harry explained that he just likes to sing to everyone, John quickly declined. “Well, I’m not buying what you’re selling,” he said, and that was that — interaction over.

“That’s literally on you. Everyone knows John Cena is all about the manners,” one commenter wrote.

Another person commented, “I’m on John Cena’s side. This stunt is annoying lol.”

Maybe it would have gone over better if Harry actually introduced himself to the wrestler first?

This is kind of Harry’s thing, though.

To be totally fair, Harry did admit in his caption that he probably didn’t go about this the right way — “Ok this ones on me cuz i had no decorum my bad sorry john cena,” he wrote — but Harry’s 2.2 million followers know that this is his whole schtick. He approaches celebrities and sings to them, recording how they react… for better or for worse.

John may not have been a big fan, but Harry has won a few stars over with his serenades, including Sia, who couldn’t possibly have been more delighted to hear his take on her song “Chandelier” when he came face to face with her at Paris Hilton’s movie premiere in January.

You win some, you lose some… and even if John wasn’t into it, Harry did make people laugh in the process, so isn’t that all that matters?
