Chris Noth Throws Shade at Sarah Jessica Parker’s Big Award Honor

Years after Chris Noth‘s time as the iconic Mr. Big came to an end on the Sex and the City reboot, And Just Like That, it seems like there might be some beef between him and his former leading lady on the show, Sarah Jessica Parker.

Sarah was honored with the Carol Burnett Award ahead of the 2026 Golden Globes, and after one of his social media followers referenced the award on Instagram, Chris had a surprising reaction that is leading some fans to call him “bitter.”

It all started with Chris’ post about working out in the new year.

On January 9, the 71-year-old actor shared this photo of himself hard at work at the gym, writing, “”F&@k new years – LETS GO!!!!”

Among all of the comments cheering him on, one person decided to bring up the drama between him and Sarah.

“You mean fcuk sjp & her award right? lol,” one of his followers wrote.

Rather than ignore the comment, he replied with his agreement. “Right,” he said.

His snarky response created a lot of buzz — both from fans who agreed with him and those who wanted to defend SJP.

It’s no surprise that the fact that Chris responded at all has gotten a lot of attention… both from those who are fully on his side and those who can’t believe he’d say anything anti-SJP after all the years they spent working together.

“She had enough pull to be loyal to you and your character but she was a sheep instead. You deserved better I’m sorry. The show went downhill after you left anyways aka karma XO,” one commenter responded to Chris.

Others came to Sarah’s defense, writing, “he’s just bitter that they [wrote] him off the show.”

Chris was cut from And Just Like That after he was the subject of sexual assault allegations.

Chris’ time on And Just Like That was short. His character’s death took place on the very first episode of the reboot, and though he had filmed a scene with Sarah that should have aired later in the season, it was ultimately cut after he was involved in a scandal.

In 2021, two women spoke with The Hollywood Reporter to accuse Chris of sexually assaulting them — one in 2004, and the other in 2015 — and later, a third woman would come forward with similar allegations.

At the time, Chris denied the allegations, saying in a statement, “These stories could’ve been from 30 years ago or 30 days ago — no always means no — that is a line I did not cross. It’s difficult not to question the timing of these stories coming out. I don’t know for certain why they are surfacing now, but I do know this: I did not assault these women.”

He has since maintained his innocence.
