What to Know
Earlier this month, news broke that the Pussycat Dolls are reuniting for a new tour — or at least, some of them are. Though the group originally consisted of six members, only Nicole Scherzinger, Ashley Roberts, and Kimberly Wyatt will be taking the stage on the reunion tour, which means that three former members are sitting this one out. And according to Jessica Sutta, her exclusion was intentional because she’s been open about her MAGA supporting views, which she believes have made her a “liability.”
Jessica said she was “blindsided” by the news that she wouldn’t be reuniting with the group.
While appearing on the Maverick Approach podcast this week, Jessica claimed that she and the other former members who were not included on the tour — Carmit Bachar and Melody Thornton — were shocked to find out that they weren’t invited to participate.
“None of us were told about anything … and that’s kind of how it was, always,” she said, via Huffington Post. “I align with [Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr.], which is aligning with MAGA. Do I love what Trump is doing? Absolutely not. I do not believe in war. [But] we didn’t have a chance for the [vaccine] injured community to get help without him, even though he doesn’t want us to exist.”
She continued, “People are screaming at me, ‘You’re MAGA, you’re MAGA.’ Yeah, I am. I triple down on it because I’m so sick of people telling me who I should be.”
This isn’t the first time she’s spoken out about the tour.
Just after the announcement of the PCD Forever tour, Jessica took to Instagram, admitting that even though she “was never planning to return” to the group, it was still hurtful to be excluded — especially since no one from the group replied to her when she reached out to them until the last minute.
“I simply would have appreciated a heads-up earlier so I could process everything privately and handle the situation with a bit more grace and dignity,” she wrote. “That said, I genuinely wish the girls a successful tour and nothing but the best moving forward. I’m grateful for the experiences and memories I had with PCD, and I’ll always hold that chapter of my life close to my heart.”
She’s never tried to hide her support of the Trump administration.
Like she mentioned on the podcast, she’s mostly a fan of Robert F. Kennedy Jr. and the MAHA movement (though she did give the Melania documentary a rave reviews) but at this point, it’s not like agreeing with RFK is much less controversial than being in support of the Trump administration in general.
No word if that’s the real reason she wasn’t included on the tour… but it’s also totally possible that a slimmed down group meant better profits for the reunion and that it wasn’t personal.
