Man Who Insists He’s Jay-Z’s Secret Son Takes His Paternity Case to the Supreme Court

Does this celebrity dad actually have four children instead of three? That's what a 30-year-old New Jersey man seems to think. Jay-Z's alleged son is taking his paternity case to the Supreme Court after he claims that his supposed father has been avoiding it for years.

Rymir Satterthwaite claims that he is Jay-Z's secret son.

And in an interview with the Daily Mail, he revealed that he is asking the Supreme Court to unseal his case so people can see what's really been going on behind the scenes in his battle to get Jay-Z to admit to his paternity.

"I just want to live my life and, when it is all said and done, I hope that Jay-Z would want to be a part of my life, if that is God’s will," he told the news outlet.

This battle has been going on for years.

His late mother, Wanda, claimed that she'd had sex with Jay-Z (real name: Shawn Carter) in 1992, before his rap career had taken off, but they broke up before Rymir was born. Rymir claims that he was 8 years old when his mom told him that Jay-Z was his biological father, and though he says that in 2012 Jay-Z complied (through his lawyers) with their request for a paternity test, they were never given the results.

According to the Daily Mail, there was some debate about where the case should take place — in New Jersey, where the alleged paternity occurred in the first place, or Pennsylvania, where the case was originally filed — and eventually, the case was dismissed.

But that didn't stop Rymir, who has continually filed civil cases against Jay-Z, all of which have been dismissed.

Now, Rymir is asking the courts to unseal the documents in his case going back to 2012.

Jay-Z has never spoken out directly about the case, and because the documents have been kept confidential for all these years, Rymir believes that secrecy is keeping him from getting the due process that is his right.

"I won't stop fighting for this until I win. And I will win because the law is on our side," he said.

Jay-Z is already a dad to three children.

He and wife Beyoncé have three kids together: their 11-year-old daughter, Blue Ivy, along with 5-year-old twins Sir and Rumi. Adding a 30-year-old son to the mix would obviously be a big deal, and it doesn't sound like Jay-Z believes there's much validity to Rymir's claims at this point.

It will be interesting to see where this case goes next.
